Lot's of games to pick up from, but here are 5 that I loved, in no particular order:

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Dishonored series (loved all 3 of them)
Batman: Arkham City
Wolfenstein: The New Order
Quantum Break

Some honorable mentions that could also be put in the list above:
Deus Ex: Human Revolution & Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
The Evil Within 1 & 2
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (I love PoP and this one is the more recent)
Alan Wake
Saints Row the third
Surviving Mars
Tropico 4
Shadow Warrior 2
Lords of Xulima

Not necessarily in that order!

Oh, and I`m only mentioning games that I bought on GOG.

KetobaK: 1. The Witcher 3.
2. Batman Arkham City.
3. Skyrim.
4. Disco Elysium.
5. Hollow Knight.

Bonus: The Journey Down Trilogy.
I've never heard of the journey down im intrigued
Witcher 3
Disco Elysium
The Walking Dead Season One
Bioshock Infinite
Dying Light

From the top of my head... a list like that could change any time, there's too many to choose from, and mood and tastes are constantly shifting.

CP2077 might make it onto the list, but I simply haven't played it enough to judge.

Why not? With the 1.21 patch it finally runs ok-ish on my (rather low-end) machine. World design, characters, writing, "acting", voice-over are all fantastic so far. The core gameplay of shooting, hacking (computers, but also people to pieces), stealth is fun. Driving is not really fun, but I prefer walking and exploring anyway - and exploration is often rewarded.

The hate the game gets is only because of the exaggerated hype around it before. And last-gen consoles - owners of those have every right to be pissed - CDPR should have just refrained from releasing on them.

Without the hype and maybe from another company the game would be everybody's darling, even with the bug-ridden (but not worse than BethSoft) initial release.

Lone_Scout: A legionary's life is a barely known masterpiece. Thumbs up.
It was well received on rpgcodex (where I first read about it), so it does have at least some fans. I agree, it's an impressive game, all the more so when one considers it was created by one guy. Definitely one of my best gaming experiences in 2020.
