Hello Rsgames246!
I guess my top 5 games from the past ten years are somewhat unusual, because I am more for the types of games, that do something unique and different from the overall modern games industry. Often those love-or-hate relationships, where there is not much in between--either you really do like them or you despise them.
My favourites, which I am still enjoying playing or re-playing today, and that have not left my HDD (/SSD respectively) since I first installed them, are:
"Lumo"
"Rain World"
"Firewatch" (&/or) "A Short Hike"
"Jump King"
"Infinifactory" (&/or "TIS-100" or "Spacechem" or any Zachtronic's programming game except for "Shenzhen I/O")
Honorable mentions go to:
"VVVVVV"
(My alltime favourite, but it slipps out of the time frame by one year. For me it was this masterpiece that started my rising interest in indiegames!)
"Wonder Boy and the Dragon's Trap"
(A beautifully animated remake [or remaster, I do not care about those terms] of a really old Sega game, with charming characters, nice redrawn scenes and backgrounds, as well as catchy, joyful tunes.)
Of course there are many or too many others praiseworthy for various reasons, however among some even much older games I kept these installed, and find myself returning to them every now and then.
Kind regards,
foxgog
