Hey all, name's 8BitGinno and I'm a gamer.
Thing is, I'm a gamer of variety. I love playing RPG, Adventure, Platforming, FPS, and more recently RTS games. Games of the FPS, Racing, Fighting genres being played occasionally. Really, any games that are fun regardless of the game type; innovation being a key factor also.
I would also like to enjoy multiplayer games with people, but alas all pursuit of such has been to no avail. Why? Because all anyone seems to play are FPS games. The fact that FPS games are the "in" thing now, which is why that is all they seem to release nowadays, and seemingly are lacking in variety, story, etcetera, has left a sour taste in my mouth. A genre which I could have gotten more into is unappealing as it once was, causing me to generally prefer retro gaming. Yes, I mentioned I too also enjoy shooters, but it is only every so often. They tend to be PvP and fast paced games, which is loads of fun, but I wish to change-it-up sometimes and would rather not get stressed due to them being very competitive in nature. My requests at various sites for a companion to play some games with tend to go unheard due to my preference of classic/different games, and I lack games to play with people on Steam or VPNs like Tunngle.
In conclusion, where has all the variety gone? And where are the people that enjoy it?
