As our catalog gets bigger and better every week, it’s easy to lose track of some of the awesome games that we have to offer. Of course Fallout, Baldur’s Gate, and some other of our most popular titles will always get a lot of attention, but GOG has many more classics to bring you. To help encourage you to explore the dustier reaches of GOG’s catalog, we’re going to be offering a promo on the first and third Wednesday of every month. Think of it as a curated promo on some of GOG’s favorite titles that you may not have played. Whether we’re encouraging you to explore incredible new worlds or inviting you to see how a titanic series got its start, we think every game we’re going to be offering on our GOG Gem Promos will be an excellent title, and we hope you give them all a try.

With the next GOG.com Gem Promo, we'd like to put a spotlight on one of the best hack-and-slash RPG Sacred Gold. In the game you are given the choice of one of eight character classes including Dark Elf, Gladiator, Vampire Lady among others. Each hero starts from a different location, has its own quests and skills, but they all have a common goal: to save the fantasy world of Ancaria from the evil necromancer Shaddar. The Gold edition includes all improvements added in Sacred Plus and the Sacred Underworld expansion, which added two new characters and new quests that follow the events at the end of the original Sacred. The game sold more than 1.8 million copies worldwide and we believe with the 60% discount it's going to boost this number significantly :)

So don't wait and grab Sacred Gold today for only $3.99! The promo ends tomorrow, May 19 at 5:59 a.m. EDT (9:59 a.m. GMT).

This game was developed just ten minutes from where I used to live :)
Why promo does not last full 24h? I've just missed it.. :(
Right now I was about to buy this game but the promo is already gone. Shame on me.
hmm... It's 16:07 on GMT+3 (so it's 19:07/7:07pm on GMT) and promo ir allready gone. It's strange

yeah, was thinking the same thing about an hour ago ..... we'll buy it if you let us GOG! :)
It's 2:37PM in GMT-land now, but I can't seem to get the discount ... it says 9.99$ everywhere. Is it only for certain countries?
As it turns out, Cook meant "9.59 a.m. GMT", which would have been 24 hours from the start of the promo.

I'll go and edit the newspost to reflect this. Our apologies about the mix up. It's been a hectic few days here.

16:07 GMT+3 equals 13:07 GMT (not 19:07 GMT)
The promo ends tomorrow, May 19 at 5:59 a.m. EDT (9:59 p.m. GMT).
Is this some kind of buggy message? As I said before, I've missed this promo, but it should be still here... (its around 2:00 pm GMT now) :/ Too bad.

Well, you could always admit the fault and extend the promo to it's originally stated time ... might even land you on Slashdot or similar :-)

Damn', missed the promo :(
I would have bought it right away for 3,99 $. I really should start to check out the GOG homepage more frequently ;)
sweet already got the cd key quick too :D tis was worth it
Damn I missed it! I actually just picked up a retail copy of Sacred 2 for a fair price (not really, I just needed something to put on my self). Would be interesting to compare the two. Actually I'd be better off getting the retail copy so they can look pretty sitting next to each other, because chances are I'll play neither because after all these years I can't pull myself away from the Elder Scrolls games.

tarangwydion: This is the first game I got from GOG, and yet I still have not finished it. Got bored along the way. But I promise to come back and finish it someday...
My first GOG game was Fallout 1 which I enjoy, I just keep having computer problems and an OCD problem with getting games off this site really often and playing them instead of the old ones I previously got from here, and then getting another game without finishing the last ones, and I seem to be awful at convincing myself to play a game and have little energy for them after going through a depression over various depressing things and now as of 4:52(AM) in the morning I plan on playing Fallout at some point in time and also getting Fallout 2 tommorow even though I don't plan on playing it until I finish the first one. One of my points is simply computers are a pain in the ass for me and finally getting to play a PC game is a chore sometimes, eh (NO I AM NOT FROM CANADA!)

"So basically I know what you mean".
