RottenRotz: By the way cant wait for first one to show up here. With Splat Pack expansion, never really played it!

tejozaszaszas: Even if GOG succeed in getting Catrmageddon, they will have problems with the Splat Pack. The original game have many bugs and crashed frecuently, even in Spain was retired from the stores (and I had to buy it from the SCI store). This happened with the original game in my pentium 200 MMX/ Windows 98/ 3dfx computer, but when I actaully tried to run the game on a emulator on a using Dos Box.... Well, I was unable to play it. The first Carmageddon (without expansion pack) run fine on Dos Box though.
I would SO buy a game called Catmageddon.

tejozaszaszas: Blasphemia.
The Carmageddon peds are essentially akin to those checkpoint hoops you see in some flying games. I'd rather have something more aggressive that attacked stricken cars and generally cranked up the danger a bit. The fact that it would make sense that you're being paid to run them over is a plus too.
Grrrrr
Hate people like you, peddling that crap game to Carmageddon fans.

It is NOTHING like Carmageddon, and is a big ass bore-fest.

Go away.

(sorry, having a bad day, and someone like you convinced me to buy it long ago).

Navagon: I loved the first one. The second one was pretty good too, but the cars fell apart too easily in my opinion.

Interested to see if the formula can still work as well today.
The first one was cool, but playing it on a Pentium 90mhz machine wasn't. I remember it running at somewhere around 10fps or so lol.

Ouch. Ran fine on a P120 though. Well, at least by the FPS standards of the day.
You know that news you linked to is actually good news, don't you? It's Stainless Games who are making it, which made Carmageddon 1 and 2. Carmageddon is back to its original "owners". If anyone knows what Carmageddon is about, it's them.

Thanks for that lackoo and StarEye. I didn't know Clutch was made by Stainless Games too. Mayhap I shall pick it up since it's so cheap.

Actually, there are people who can´t play Crysis at 30 FPS. Posh kids (or adults)...

Never tried Clutch, was talking about the new Carmageddon game and the fact that the new Carmageddon game is being developed by Stainless Games. I don't think Clutch was made by Stainless.

Is this some kind of a joke?

not really, if there's anything the gaming industry taught us it's that whenever you reboot something you have to make an FPS, because everything else would just be too crazy to work.
