El_Caz: See? See!? It's all a marketing strategy. When your audience expects too much from you, release a few not so good games to get their expectations down, then a couple of unknowns to keep them in a lull... then BAM! Instant knockout.

Agreed. I tried to play this game on modern harware for years now. When GOG announced their deal with Atari, I immediatly thought about I-War. Then weeks passed... I had almost abandonned all hope... and then bam ! Here it is. Can't wait to play it tonight after work.
If you want to play a space sim without joystick, I'd say go for I-War. It's the most playable thanks to auto-aim. And strategy is more efficient than pure joystick skill in this game.
