Not sure what to think about this one other than "contractual agreement". MoM3 is a perfectly dreadful game and no amount of "but the mods make it better" rationalization turns it into something worth playing.
So what's next? I smell something like Outpost 2...but only if it is bundled with the laughably unfinished first Outpost?
GoG has had its hits and misses (and has been having a fairly nice run lately with the old SimTex games) but dumping out Blood 2 and MoM3 -- yech.
'Course, nobody's making me buy them though, either :)

I made the mistake and bought the game once. So thank you, but no deal for me - humans get wiser by the years. At least they are supposed to. ;)

The game is selling at the $19.99 price point at other digital distributors, so that makes GOG's price a bargain.
In relative terms, of course.

This thing is a horrible slap in the face of the series. The developers (none of which were from the original crew from what I understand) were in fact very proud of the fact they were abandoning everything possible from previous canon.
It's sort of like when you go to a public bathroom somewhere that was otherwise civil, clean, and full of nice people and as you enter you notice pretty quickly someone has taken it upon themselves to urinate all of the floor and otherwise act atrociously and turned the place into something vying for one of Dante's Hells.
That is the absolutely nicest thing I have to say about this "creative" expression that was marketed as entertainment.
YMMV.
Just remember the rubber boots.

I bought this game when it came out and it was frustrating as hell to play, very unlike MoO 1 or 2. It's just a spreadsheet with pretty graphics. So thanks but no sale for me. I do appreciate the lower price and the availability though.

Lol, I loved this game, but only could play it when it was launched, after that, with new directX and video drivers the game became unplayable, when your territory becomes very huge it crashes with a directX error and black screen to the desktop. Would like to know if the gog guys patched it.
The price also is high, 5.99 would be more realistic for a hated game. :)
I bought recently the gamersgate version and that bug was there, and others, windows that don't open, etc.
Well, to risk more money, will wait for a better price, but the game is very good when you master the interface, much of the hate and criticism is due the hard time learning how to play it, mainly how to build your fleets and also let the ai of the planets do their job.

Should have prices it at $5.99.
I (and I imagine a lot of others) am willing to splash out $5 occasionally even on a crappy game, just on the off chance.. or out of morbid curiosity. (wish they'd hurry up and get daikatana here!)
But $9.99 is pushing it.

Honestly, given that CD Projekt are gamers, and almost certainly are aware of the hate this game has received in gaming circles, why did they choose it for release?
Could it be something imposed by Atari as a part of their deal? Maybe the $9.99 price point is them warning people away :)
