Hello,

I wish People would not review a game that they haven't played. I feel like I'm reading reviews that begin With "I haven't played it, but... " al the time, and i find it really annoying!

Can't we all agree to keep Our unqualified opinions on the forums and let the game reviews be a Place for well thought out opinions based on experience With the game?
Happens everywhere. My B&B just got a review that started, "We didn't actually stay there but...". This is true.

Why!?!? I just don't get it! Why would somebody do that?
How was it, by the way? The review i mean. :)

No, It wasn't her, but I've heard she reviews games she hasn't played.

Sometimes it makes sense. I called a tree specialist a couple months back for some trimming work, and also to get rid of some nasty bugs. He subbed-out the bug work and scheduled the trimming for two weeks later. The bugs got taken care of within a couple days and I still can't get in touch with the trimmer guy. I left a message saying something to the effect of "At the very least, call so I can pay for the bug work." STILL haven't heard back, even after trying to give him money for work that was done.

What sort of review should I give? None, or comment "the guy never showed up to do the work and won't return my calls so don't waste your time"?

As for the game thing, completely different thing and I agree with you on that bit. Unless it's to say that it doesn't work (bought, installed, won't run) or that it crashes so much that it's all-but-unplayable.

Amazon has tons of reviews that are like, "I haven't watched this movie yet, but it looks really interesting. 5/5 stars." Or, "I bought this for my husband. Not sure if he likes it. 5/5 stars." The mind boggles.
since we have freedom of speech, we can assume you have freedom of UNQUALIFIED OPINION, since there is no one to qualify it, Muahahahha
Maybe they should add something compulsory at the end of every proposed review tagging it Played or not.

That and I want a list of other games the reviewer loved and hated. If he tells me AOE sucks then I'm not going to take anything else he says with much merit.
We are looking at you Tom Mcshea from Gamespot. Damn that guy has the worst taste and or skill in videogames, and he sucks at writing....
I have no valid opinion and I must write a review.

That would be super helpful. I have rarely seen this info included in a GOG review, but when I have, it has made the review much more convincing.

And, of course, "I bought this used and had a bad experience with the seller. 1/5 stars!"
