I read that he soled the rights of using his name for games to Ubisoft. He wasn't even involved in the newer games which were published with bis name.
So Ubisoft can still make games with his name.

It is sad to see a good writer go.
I still believe that the first Splinter Cell's and the early Rainbow Six games had the advantages of his writing skill. His legacy will live on in the games with writers aiming for the same highs he did and all those books he wrote which prompted those games.

This is sad.
I'll miss his Jack Ryan Novels.
