I don't expect a response but I tweeted Paul Barnett about it - https://twitter.com/tytbone/status/537111640215683072

Thanks!

shmerl: I think before ScummVM the only sane option of running Neverhood was Wine in Windows 95 mode. And that wouldn't help Windows users, so yes, GOG could be waiting for something else to materialize. ScummVM support was added in the end of July (in the release, master branch got it a while earlier) and since GOG were quite busy with tons of stuff they didn't get to it. I guess if there are no blockers from EA side GOG can get to it now. They never commented on this issue though.

tfishell: In any case, both GOG and EA know thousands (at least according to the wishlist; it's probably closer to tens of thousands in reality) of people want the game here.
Hundreds of thousands at least :)

Looks like he did respond in the past: https://twitter.com/thatbarnettblok/status/503569862346547201
Though without any substantial info like why these games aren't on GOG yet.

I also found your thread and apparently that forum moved to another place: [url=http://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin/bd-p/O-2]http://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin/bd-p/O-2

Can you please kick off a new request for Neverhood on that new forum if you are registered there?

It's also possible that EA at some point decided to release their games only through Origin to lock users into using their distribution. If that's so, chances of seeing Neverhood here will be zero.

I will try to remember to do that tomorrow.
Also the song: 'beep bop bo' from Skullmonkeys. My brother and I always joked he sang: "Break my balls" instead of beep bop bo.

Hah, most of those songs are quite hard to sing in original form :) "Cough Drops" is a funny one.

Any updates on that?

Sorry, just now remembered to post in the new forum: http://answers.ea.com/t5/Other-EA-Games/EA-please-bring-more-classic-games-to-GOG-com-such-as-The/td-p/4064919/jump-to/first-unread-message

I doubt we'll get a specific response (other than perhaps the equivalent of "maybe") but thanks for reminding me to at least keep the idea (of bringing more EA games to GOG) alive.

Thanks for posting! You can add that Neverhood doesn't have compatibility issues anymore since it runs in ScummVM. Unless you think that won't make a difference to tell them.
It's a shame EA is so huge. That means they have millions of old games that they'd all have to deal with, well being told to deal with them. I understand why they don't respond much. But that's just me trying to put myself in their position. Fact remains. The Neverhood needs to return!

GOG approached it like this - they said to those companies that they'll package and prepare everything on their own, zero effort from the other side. And it worked. In this case EA doesn't have to do anything, just say ACK.
Some positive response from EA community manager: http://answers.ea.com/t5/Other-EA-Games/EA-please-bring-more-classic-games-to-GOG-com-such-as-The/m-p/4070949#M24818
