Oh, that's another one I was thinking of putting! (so much for five ay?)

Severely underated as it came out at the same time as Quake 2 stole all it's market share by having prettier graphics. Yes folks, we can mewl and moan about how We The Gamers prefer Gameplay over Graphics every time, but historical sales often show that the opposite is true.

Anyway, Chasm = Quake with the ability to blow off the limbs of enemies. I only played the demo but the image I am left with is one of me fighting off a lizard wearing a jester's hat, blowing off his limbs one by one with a shotgun. Good times.
Of course I am writing this from jail having assaulted my neighbours gecko and stapled a tiny jester's hat to it, but that's what violence in computer games does to a child isn't it. Sadly that defence didn't work, but I digress.

Chasm is great.
Dune 2000 is another game I'd like to see. Had lots of fun with that as a kid.

Wow, I thought I was the only one who had ever heard of the game!

I guess it has a tiny TINY cult following, but nobody's really dedicated enough to make a site for it or work on some sort of fan "reboot." I would say that the game's combat wasn't nearly as smooth or polished as Quake 2's, but it certainly had a very fun charm to it, and the level design was truly incredible taking into account the limitations of the game's engine (basically just a less advanced version of Doom's BSP with polygons for models). I also really loved Vivisector: Beast Inside, although I'll be the first to admit that it had some really REALLY rough spots. I was really hoping that with the "sleeper hit" success of Cryostasis, the developer would finally start gaining momentum... But they dissolved soon after the game's release.

Oh well. Guess that's how it goes.

If I don't count the last 2 posts in this thread it is only 3 days until 2 years have passed since the last activity in this thread. Since I'm ill and can't go to work and I might have a fever I got this crazy idea to see what has happened in these two years, how many wishes have become reality? Beware of a long post and probably a wall of text:

EDIT: Having trouble linking the last few games, might have reached a limit. Vampire the Masquerade removed.

AD&D&SSI Series - Not sure what these includes as I mostly played Baldur's Gate and nothing else. So maybe someone else can shed some light on this subject?

Someone said:

Daikatana
Rise of the Robots
Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing
Superman 64
Croc

Sounds like that person is yanking our chain since most of those are supposed to be really bad games and one of them are for N64? But who am I to judge right? Although that person did get Daikatana.

Someone wanted a fixed version of Moto Racer 2, I know the game is on gog.com and I do have it and I haven't noticed any problems with it. So maybe it is fixed?

All games are in alphabetical order (as much of the alphabete I can remember in my ill state) except for the two above this text because I added comments about those two.

I didn't play any of those games, I've just heard they're supposed to be some of the worst games ever made, except for Croc maybe that one was serious

You can scratch "Vampire The Masquerade" off that list. Since "Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption" was already available on GOG at the time this thread was started, if anyone wished for VTM, it was most probably for "Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines" by Troika Games, and that one is still not here, unfortunately.

There's no progress regarding the AD&D series by SSI either.

Still, of the 5-6 games/series I listed back then, 2 have since been released here (Nox & Ultima Underworld). Well done, GOG, keep it up!

That's the Gold Box games that are still not here. Look in wiki at Gold Box games for a list. I believe all are pre-Baldur's Gate 1.

Edit: I was bored, wiki link added.
