CDP Days 2011 Spring Conference has just finished and everything is clear now. If you haven't been able to tune in to watch the live stream, don't worry. We've prepared a quick summary of our presentation with a video recap for your convenience. So, let's not wait any longer.

At the very beginning we had to brag a bit about how awesome the service is doing, of course thanks to you - our great users. And then, suddenly, the lights went off, creepy moans started letting out from all over the place while The EnigmaticT tried to discern something in the dark with his flashlight.

Worry not, it was the announcement of Alone in the Dark, that comes with Alone in the Dark 2 and Alone in the Dark 3 as free bonus materials! This great series starts a new wave of Atari games that will be available in the coming weeks! And on 10th of May as the last game from Atari, we'll release The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut. What's even cooler we're going to have a special, time-limited offer that will give you a 50% discount, so the game will cost you only $4.99!

As we're on the subject of The Witcher, we had more cool stuff about its upcoming sequel on GOG.com. Starting on May 10, everyone who pre-order The Witcher 2 on GOG.com will be able to pre-purchase the game and download 90% of the build, so they can play the game on release day! So if you haven't pre-ordered the game yet, you'd better do that before May 16! More details on The Witcher deals can be found here.

Pre-downloading such huge game like The Witcher 2 is some serious business, and you'd need some serious downloader to do that. That's where the GOG.com Spring Site Update comes in! Late April we'll introduce a brand new, improved and slick GOG Downloader which will allow you to download all your GOG games fast and easy. What else? Personal messaging will be now possible for all our users!

But that's not all! At the very end, spotlight was on your favourite French Monk, who had some news regarding new publishers coming to the site. Microsoft, Electronic Arts, LucasArts, Take2 and SquareEnix - one of those publishers is already signed, while two more from the list are almost on board! Which and when is coming? Well, you'll have to wait a bit for that :)

You can watch the video recap of the presentation here. Enjoy!
The oh-so-trendy event of announcing an announcement, announce you will announce a publisher but right in the conference you end up not announcing it...

My head hurts...
No time to announce my excitement at the announcement/non-announcement, too busy buying and playing Alone in the Dark

lackoo1111: dissapointed
all positive today, are we? :o)
Well, in that case, good news even though we didn't get a name. I gotta clear the backlog of unplayed games anyway.
I'm delighted with the news.

By the way, did I understand it right, Witcher 1 with all that stuff for 5 bucks in May?

On a sidenote, congratulations GOG, you made me sit and watch a videocast for the first time ever. I tell you, I really hate these things, but with the announcements you promised I couldn't miss it.
Dream of stars = Wing Commander
Outlaws = Desperados
Fear past = Crusader?
Underground = Ultima Underworld
Hero = Ultima
Monsters = Witcher 1
Dark = Alone in the Dark

I doubt LA got signed (but one can still dream).

AquariusX: One thing: When you're picking free items to give away to your users, don't forget that there are girl gamers too! Where's a calendar of strapping warriors for US to stare at?
A very valid point.

Sexism

dr.zli: why is everyoe ignoring all the the tesed games on a main page under a big white caption reading new wave of ATARI games... All those teasers were for atari games..
Who's ignoring it? It's a big list on the front page, COMING SOON BUNCH OF ATARI GAMES with Along in the Dark already up for sale today.

We still want to know who the hell the new publisher is.

Skystrider: Still, It's EA! I'm calling it! 25 games. Must be.
Yeah, EA or Eidos. It would take a lot to find 25 for Eidos though, especially as an out of the gate release.

Looking forward to either one this summer... gonna be a blast!
Remember what publishers GOG mentioned in their Christmas letter to Santa? Square Enix, EA, and LucasArts. My new guess is EA in the summer, followed by LucasArts in August and finally Eidos in November.
