Did you make sure that the US version will be playable from EU, or do you have a VPN handy in case it's not? I didn't follow the versions that closely, since I didn't care for the US one, but I do hope you won't have trouble playing it.
On the other hand, I think you will be able to play from the 10th onwards, though I'll let you deal with the legality of it :P

I'm fairly certain Steam will let me play. One way or the other.
