Grargar: It's true that Aspyr is publishing Paraworld on US retail, but from what I know, GamersGate still lists Deep Silver as Paraworld's publisher, even on American IPs.
avatar
Piranjade: Let's test it.

I'm in Germany
If I use this page on GamersGate:
http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-PWG/paraworld-gold
I get a "This product was not available." message.

With this page:
http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-PW/paraworld
I can buy it for €9.99, publisher is Deep Silver.

On this page:
http://www.gamersgate.co.uk/DD-PW/paraworld
I can buy it for £8.99, publisher is Deep Silver.

Can anybody in the US try it, please?
That link works for Poland :)

JudasIscariot: That link works for Poland :)

Piranjade: Which one? All of them?
The first one says the product was discontinued while the other two take me to the store page and show me a price of 9.99 EUR/8.99 GBP :)

You're welcome :)

Grargar: Off-topic, but I ended up reading the comments:
"“Anti-DRM Adherents”?

You mean pirates."

Sigh....
That was my reaction as well :/

Matruchus: Well I think the biggest argument that Firefly made there was Steamworks. Hopefully Galaxy release this month should help since it is going to offer the same options as described in the article about what they expect from Steam client.
Here's hoping :)

cyboff: FYI: CRAWL is officially confirmed: http://www.gog.com/game/crawl

Crosmando: At least they've stopped these games "roguelikes" now
I would love to put in "procedural death labyrinth" in the category field but it's too long :P

Artoemius: It's funny how your post is number 777 in this thread with all this numerology stuff going on:

Maybe this game brings good luck to GOG after all... and bad luck to DRM :)
Crawl is going to be an awesome game, I can personally guarantee it :D

(Played an early build with three other GOG staffers... was quite fun :D )

Matruchus: Is this similar to Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery?
Ummmm no.

Think more like Gauntlet without the massive numbers mixed with a slight dash of bullet hell but Touhou levels of bullet hell all thrown together into a procedural death labyrinth :D
This one's quite official now :)

Matruchus: I really like that you are finally using the coming soon list!
I like the fact that the Coming Soon items aren't buried on the very bottom of the New & Coming list like they were before the site update :)

rodrolliv: OUSOM (that means awesome, more or less :P)

Remember to use the 'coming soon' list for games that will be released here around the same time that on Steam, so people don't miss them.
That's the plan :)

Niggles: Noticed... 19.5GB for an adventure game???
Placeholder size as we don't have the game yet :)

Niggles: Better put 1GB :P. might shock a few otherwise ;)
I have yet to see a modern 3D game weigh in only at 1 GB :) Even 2D ones like Quest for Infamy weigh in at almost 2 GB :)

Niggles: Ok 4GB sounds like a good compromise ;). This is an adventure game we are talking about ;)
You forget that it's quite fashionable to have uncompressed audio in newer games :P

(I expect Dreamfall Chapters to weigh in the 10+ GB range...also why are we haggling over an upcomong game's file size?!?!?! :D)

Done :)

omega64: Agarest. :O
I hope Durante's fix will work with this version.
I don't know about Agarest but I know Durante's fixes are usually a couple of DLL files that need to be placed into a particular directory along with some ini files.

I used his fix for the GOG version of Deadly Premonition so if he has the same kind of "fix" for Agarest then everything should work :) No guarantees though as I have no idea what the Agarest fix actually entails :)
