blakstar: Getting Amiga games to run in DOSBox? I think even the DOSBox developers would be astounded to see that, given that they were completely different computer systems! :-P
capricorn1971ad: yeah, but somehow they are offering them, i just grab the old dos stuff. the Amiga was a monster in it's day too. You couldn't do better for audio or video than an Amiga back then, Now it's Mac for editing Video and PC for everything else, unless your using linux..
I am not sure how they are doing it really, but I have DLed games from there and modded for my android.
they use dosbox alot in the installs, which you have to take out when you do your android version, or it will crash.
I particulary like running Dungeon Hack on android, kinda buggy with the absolute positioning and stuff.. but 4 billion dungeons.. and you will NEVER complete one.. you will just die as deep as you can go.. and thats the point of that.. endless fun, endless.
great game to run on Dos Box, except for the character generation screen, the control on it is terrible.
should try out some old dos games on your tablet for when your on the subway or something..
really you gotta try running dungeon hack on android.
1097 Free Amiga games there, that work on windows computers, todays windows computers.
though they are completely different operating systems.
and if you do download and try it remember that that game was done in 1988.

GabiMoro: You mean this list?
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/games_that_are_unofficially_confirmed_for_release_in_the_future_part_2/post3811
10 games aren't released yet: Black Moon Chronicle, Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Mirrors Edge, Forsaken, Hammer and Sickle, Killing Time, Saboteur, Tron 2.0 and Way of the Samurai 3.
Hammer and Sickle doesn't get a 404 error so it could be released soon.
If Black Moon Chronicles isn't released yet then what's this? https://www.gog.com/game/black_moon_chronicles https://www.gog.com/forum/general/games_that_are_unofficially_confirmed_for_release_in_the_future_part_2/post3811

Kristian: Didn't GOG at one point hint at a AAA day one release? What happened to that, was that really one of their AA games they meant?
GabiMoro: I think it was Age of Wonders 3. :P

fortune_p_dawg: in all truth, i think this year has been pretty great on gog (i have picked up most major releases and then some) despite my fiery desire to fellate bethesda with a pancake dipped in maple infused motor oil.
rampancy: ...and now I've been sitting here for 30 minutes trying to imagine how that would work. JudasIscariot

adaliabooks: Give Thiev a break... Judas says that stuff all the time and you never give him a hard time.
I'm fairly sure the :P smiley meant he wasn't serious.
Marioface5: I can't speak for anyone else, but for me Thiev's post just happened to be the one that finally got me to respond. It's not any better when Judas makes those comments, and I get tired of GOG staff taking that attitude towards releases and customer eagerness, whether they're being serious or not. I can understand why they would get tired of having people ask about certain games, but it's best to just not respond if the only reply you can give is one that might be taken as being disrespectful. I'm fairly sure the :P smiley meant he wasn't serious.
EDIT: To be clear, it's not a big deal to me, but it can be irritating.

muntdefems: Unless you refuse to consider it released until the Linux version is added, this one was released yesterday.
Andrey82: Fixed. Strangely, on Russian GOG there is news about release of Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! yesterday, not Space. JudasIscariot

muntdefems: Nice! I remember the Kickstarter but I completely forgot about it ever since.
Hmmm... looks like the promised Linux version will come some time after release. So will my money, then. In the meantime I'll have to content myself watching some regulars rage about the excessive amount of adventures being released on GOG. :P
Those same regulars weren't here a few years back when it was one RTS after another being released :PHmmm... looks like the promised Linux version will come some time after release.
