Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

========================================================================================

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

So should feature requests be posted on the wishlist instead of mantis now? Since there still is the option to put feature requests under mantis.
Problem updating?
Had ALPHA already.
Received BETA invite with key.

Attempted to redeem BETA key says it is in my library.

Check, sure enough the Alpha is labelled BETA.

It supposedly did an update this morning.
Still same version and same Alpha feature set.

Have not tried Uninstall and reinstall yet. Just noting the update issue.
EDIT: Download and install of the BETA client setup_galaxy_1.0.0.871.exe from my library replaced the Alpha version with the BETA correctly.

It is almost the same as the last alpha, the only difference seem to be this friends stuff in the upper right corner. So perhaps you had the right version ;-)
I have a new issue that started when Galaxy updated itself to Beta. When I click on Store Page & Review on a game in my library it is automatically taking me to the install page, rather than the store.

This wasn't happening in the Alpha. It was working fine there.

I have tried closing and restarting multiple times, resetting options to original (as I had changed it to open in my library), but nothing seems to fix the problem. Install/Support/Hide Game are all functioning properly.

Garrett24601: I still can not change the instal location, because of the "essential components missing." error that is already known about in the ALPHA.
I was hoping that would be fixed in the BETA version.
Here is to hoping that will be fixed in the final version.

skeletonbow: Solution for this already posted several times today in the thread earlier if you go back and read through. Hope this helps.
I didn't see any solution in this thread about changing the Galaxy Client instal location (not games the Client its self.)

Edit: The solution was posted in a different thread http://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_galaxy_beta_starts_now_e5bf1/post925

Thanks for helping anyway.

I'm a spanish user and i'm very dissatisfied with the treatment give us to non-English-speaking community and is one of the reasons because you do not sell more in my country.

I understand that the galaxy client is beta and are still things to polish and I'm not even going to complain that we can not translate the interface but is very serious that we can only install the games in English.

Spanish is the second language most used in the world used by 50-60 millions of persons more than the English language.

Sorry but no excuses for the bad treatment we have from a company like Gog.

FiatLux: Sorry I think that you are plain wrong there...
Yeah , maybe you don't like to install and use software to download , but I for one surely wouldn't like to be without the GOG downloader as I consider it one of the greatest and nifty downloader apparatus / tools around..
So for me no doubt that I would have to install a piece of software anyway ..
The Client hopefully can be used just like the present GOG downloader can to just manage your downloads (with the addition of being able to work as an install manger too) and if it can not then I will join the "choir" to which you apparently belong ;) :P
"kdgog" appear to be a somewhat typical "not that young user" that haves typically "not that young user" attitudes (besides the use of Facebook) and opinions... And that kind of user generally tends to focus on the "I don't like" (than seeing that "it's completely optional" so no need to make any fuzz over that...)
Thanks for the comments, we probably agree more than not, and I'm glad Galaxy (and the previous downloader) are useful tools to you.

I should clarify that none of my comments were meant as "GOG DON'T DO THIS!" They were just meant as "You have lots of users, it's good to satisfy them all, just remember that we have diverse opinions and ways of working and it is good to offer options, bad to offer only one way of doing things - which I know you aren't doing, great, I just know it is better to say in advance than have changes happen and react retrospectively". Or something. Since there aren't regular surveys of GOG users and their attitudes (and, to be honest, many companies that do surveys completely balls it up by only allowing fixed choices that totally exclude what their customers want to say) the best way is probably through fora which GOG staff read.

Oh, and yes, you're correct that I'm not too young. My first console was an Atari 2600 (ouch, the blisters from those square joysticks while playing Berzerk...).

GOG is introducing more languages, but it takes time. Only a few months ago for example Russian was integrated. So the chances are good that Spanish might also come here.
In regards of installing the games in galaxy, I was under the impression that you can change the language of the game if a different language is available. At least this was working in beta.
Also keep in mind that often games do not have other languages thna English because of troubles in regards of the rights/licences of the languages packs.

Thank you so much Moonshineshadow!
That worked perfectly and needs a sticky.
Plus rep to you.

Quote from link:
"All i've done was to uninstall the client, opened the windows console and type: sc delete GalaxyClientService
Then reinstall the client.
Worked for me.

Hope this help."

Aprox. how long does it take to receive a key? Asked for one yesterday, but haven't received anything yet.

Thanks for the thought, but nope, I can see the differences quite clearly with the Beta versus the prior Alpha I had installed. I did an edit to reflect I had to manually download the Beta from my library and run the installer to get updated.

Differences noted right away:
Different font/size for the whole headers (Store/Library/Username Area)
The little friends/people icon on the header next to the cart.
Hover mouse over profile has new options related to chat.

Just a few things I noticed in the minutes since the manual install/update.
I've been trying to import my already installed games into Galaxy, and I'm running into two major problems.

First of all, I keep getting "game corrupted" messages on roughly half of the games I try to import.

Secondly, the client itself has frozen twice now in the time I've been using it. The only option to get it working again is to manually shut the whole thing down and restart it, which then requires me to go back through the list and tell it to verify/repair the corrupted games all over again.

So is this happening to anyone else? Anyone know what the problem is?
Update issue 2:
After installing (manually because auto-update didn't actually update the client) the Beta over the Alpha my game path settings were all reset to C: versions of those paths.

Example I had the following paths set:
Install to: J:\GoG_Games
Download games to: G:\GoG_Games\!Downloads\temp
Download extras to: G:\GoG_Games\!Game_Extras

AFTER updating to Beta the settings became:
Install to: C:\GoG_Games
Download games to: C:\GoG_Games\!Downloads\temp
Download extras to: C:\GoG_Games\!Game_Extras
