Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

I still can not change the instal location, because of the "essential components missing." error that is already known about in the ALPHA.
I was hoping that would be fixed in the BETA version.
Here is to hoping that will be fixed in the final version.

Solution for this already posted several times today in the thread earlier if you go back and read through. Hope this helps.

Frozen: Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer now, but in the future - will save from the other user trigger his achievements on my account on the game launch? Some Steam games are doing this and I hate that. Will it be possible to remove unwanted achievement manually or even reset achievements completely?
It could be great :) it could improve replay in some games, specially games about collecting things...

At first I was wondering why my games weren't working, then it turned out it was importing my game data from my GoG folders over to the GoG galaxy client so it could run. I hope that made sense Where it says Play, then more, then installed,it should be like a little download copying your files over.I just didn't see that at first. For the Witcher I had to go to my Library, click on My games, then the Witcher then where it says more click that and the drop down should have Import folder selection, and it should bring the game over to your game list to be imported over.Witcher 2 I believe was the same way,it's just being imported over right now, sorry if I wasn't any help.:(

The email you got was just a news email. It is normally taking you to the galaxy website where you can sign up for the beta:

I truly admire your patience in explaining this to every single newcomer time and time again. +1.
two things i want in gog galaxy, please:
appear offline.
and a proper way to "look into" someone who asks you to be their friend. i've already had one [spammy] request to be friends. i want to be able to click on a profile and find forum posts, so that i can tell whether or not the person is a spammer/scammer or not.
avatar
DubConqueror: Currently I have 4 GOG games installed (the old way, before the client). I tried to add them manually to Galaxy, but only managed to do so for Baldur's Gate EE and Baldur's Gate II EE.

Galaxy failed to find Jack Keane and Ghost Recon, even when pointing Galaxy to the game folder itself.
you got keaned again? ;)
how about being able to add enemies through galaxy, not only friends?

Yeah, it'll be a lot nicer if and when we have full blown social network style user profiles of some sort (Steam-like, Facebook-like, whatever - just something) and the ability to examine one's profile and info/details/behaviour/whatever.

I literally get between 2-5 friend requests on Steam every single day and it is incredibly annoying because I don't know a single one of them and 100% of them are all scammers hoping to rip you off with one or another Steam scams. That drives me nuts and Valve only has block-user and report-user, but you have to do this all day every day which is pretty annoying, there are no customization options other than to make your entire user profile completely private which breaks various functionality on and off site (ie: steamgifts.com, steamcompanion.com, multitudes of other sites that interface with your account for useful purposes).

I trust GOG to get that stuff right, but at the same time I expect developing such features robustly will happen both in phases and take its due time too. I'm patient but definitely hoping that they make it so if someone wants to add you as a friend, then whether their profile is marked public or not they automatically are granting you at least temporary access to view their profile in order to send a friend request, or they can't do it - or the option for you to decide with some settings.

I almost never just blindly click "accept" on social networks (of any sort) to random unsolicited friend requests. I don't ignore or block them either outright though, I usually leave them for a while and decide later on after I've had time to investigate each request much like you suggest wanting to do.

I've got a good buddy on Facebook who is a musician and meets tonnes of people at the bar, and they all add him on Facebook and he accepts them outright even though he doesn't know 99% of them, so he has like 2000 "friends" of which he doesn't really know 1800 of them and many of them randomly spam his profile with advertising, stupid links, and all sorts of other annoying crap that he never bothers to go block/filter out. I had to remove his profile from my newsfeed to get rid of all the crap. :) He should have a private profile for his close friends and family IMHO, and a public "I'm a musician" fan profile and keep them separate and moderated but to each their own I guess. :)

I keep things much more lean and trim, and most of the time I let inbound requests accumulate for a week or two then process them all at once for simplicity.

But Steam... ugh... that's one of the few mega-annoyances I have there right now is those endless scammer friend requests. Most people don't get them, but if you use sites like steamgifts/steamcompanion a lot and join Steam groups for giveaways you get inundated with endless scammers friend requests and most of them come from one country which I'll avoid mentioning just to be courteous to others from there that are not scammers. But having said that... I'm sure *EVERYONE* knows exactly where I mean too. :)

I just send you a friend request... accidently... Didn't expect the dropdown thing, so I hit a wrong button. Just ignore it.

I'm totaly against any kind of public exposure to what/when/why somebody is/was/or is about to do.
Or even who somebody is... read name, email whatever.

Unless we have a bing green button: Turn off "social" crap.
Don't want to accept people you don't know? Good, then just don't accept the requests... Unless you know the person just ignore it.

PS: and to conclude this:
Suggestion - add info to requests (one can tell who he is for instance)
