surfersurfer: I just read that:
Please keep in mind that the GOG support staff does not frequent the forum and cannot usually help you if you post in the forums. If you would like to contact our support directly or if people from the forum are unable to help you solve your issue, please open a ticket.

MarkoH01: Don't worry. Linko posted this a few days ago on the discord

"If you can add it to that larger thread on the forums it’ll be taken down as feedback, discord it’ll just face away into the nether mysterious music plays"

So I am pretty sure we simply need to make GOG aware of this thread and they will regard it as feedback chanel. Since this thread is just informative instead of full of ranting I am pretty sure they will take the opportunity to get a pretty good summary of community feedback including bug reports with this thread to make the web site better.
Thanks for information. sounds good!

DarthJDG: Suggestion to the game/store list: show 48 items per page instead of 50.

Reasoning: The grid layout works in 2, 3 or 4 column modes, and as 50 is not divisible by 3 or 4, every page looks like the last page, with tiles missing. 48 would make sure the grid always ends with a full row. Basic common sense, really. Or am I the only one bothered by this? :)

Or even better... give us the fraking list view back, WITH text titles! Looking at the current design, I wouldn't be surprised if they'd give us a list view with the title image stretched across the screen...
must be thought transmission ...
Yesterday I wrote a support ticket with exactly the same issue but forgot to write it here^^. Added it to the list. Good to know that there are more users who noticed this thing with the last row.

Matruchus: Daily Deals need to get timers on their tiles or on the game page. Currently its impossible to know how long the daily deals will run, when they started and when they will end. Plus its not really clear if they are daily deals or special promos that can take up to several days.

There needs to be an option to change from tiles to list view for now on sale tiles. Cause the tile loading is so slow and the game pictures don't give me any data eitherway.
Added it to the list.

Improvement

The main recommendation I'd have is to generally improve performance. The site takes longer to load and longer to display. It feels very slow. I load the site, I see the base site, then almost (but not) instantly, I see the base layout, then eventually text appears, and finally some straggler images will take their time finally loading. This even happens in I just sit on the home page and refresh a couple of times, so not even local caching seems to help.

The new design is a total disaster.
GoG support sent me an answer after a week in "shut up and live with it syle"... :-(

Just undo the changes introduced with the 10-years-jubilee!

Greetings,
Franz

PS: Just found out that the update notification is broken (again):
I am informed about 9 updated games, but all I see are ALL of my games, no way to find out which 9 games have been updated... :-(

They have a blue dot left from the game name.

Using a browser, navigate to your library. Right below the search bar, you should see "My Collection" (###/###). Click the little down arrow next to this. Click "Updated" from the drop-down list.

To get rid of the blue dot. you need to click on each game with a dot.

surfersurfer: o option to switch back to old design (***)
While I have my issues with the new design (and boy do I), this wouldn't be a good idea. New features would not be supported on the old design, and it would require maintaining multiple version of the site which is just unrealistic. Things change. They have too unfortunately.

A better idea would simply be to keep us on the old design for now and put the new design under a beta account setting and allow us to opt into it to provide feedback until it's been improved and ready to be rolled out.

And for improvement ideas, allow us to edit and delete reviews. I don't know why we are still asking for this after a major update to the review system, that's nonsense.

Otherwise nice list of improvements.

Ok, I deleted it from the list, although many would like it, the possibility is zero that GOG will return to the old design. So we/them should concentrate on making the new design better.

Added topic for reviews editing or deleting. (Of course deleting by users, not by GOG, which happened since the new design :)

surfersurfer: must be thought transmission ...
Yesterday I wrote a support ticket with exactly the same issue but forgot to write it here^^. Added it to the list. Good to know that there are more users who noticed this thing with the last row.
I was thinking 60 per page instead when I noticed this. They had five games per row, so 60 could flex to that, too, if they allow for five per row again.

Additionally, 60 would be open to six per row if the store page didn't limit the width of the column to only four as it does currently. Not just for large monitors, but also when zooming out in a web browser window so as to scale everything down ("Command -" in Safari on macOS, or View > Zoom Out).

Also 60 is divisible by 12 so it's possible to count by 5 dozen per page, 10 dozen per two pages. Like 50 it's still a multiple of ten so it still seems like a round number. Only 5 pages needed to total a multiple of 100 (t.i. 300).

DISCLAIMER: I use base 60 regularly, so maybe that's why I favor 60 in general.

Yeah this. Undo will be a big improvement. What a present this whole bad and beta pages. Sure it was not done by a pc user.

My main wishes are:

-list view;
-ratings and genre easily acessible, without back and forth.

But undoing this layout would do.

surfersurfer: For some bugs which annoy me most I opened support tickets
I let you know of the status and progress of GOG concerning these tickets.
Here is the interim balance of support tickets until now

1) Search function in shop deletes character
resolved
2) gamelist sort order by oldest, newest broken
Ticket forwarded to the web developer team. Some days later I received a message: Is this problem resolved? It wasn't. Why do they send this message if this problem obviously not has been resolved? Did they ever read what the ticket was about?
actual status: again forwarded to the web developer team
waiting
3) disappeared user reviews since new page design
GOG: We are aware of the issue and are currently working on a fix.
waiting
4) overall user ratings are broken
GOG: We are aware of the issue and are currently working on a fix.
waiting
5) Every login or logout quits the current page and leads to the main page
GOG: problem forwarded to web developer team
waiting
6) gap in last row of the gamelist
GOG: problem forwarded to web developer team
waiting

total:1/6 resolved

And here is the progress of most wanted improvement proposals
marked with (***) in the first post list.

bring back GOG mixes
improve page loading performance
disable video autoplay
Deal of the day at easy to find position and show start and end date
Mark game tile as deal of the day, mark game on it's game page as deal of the day
Take News to the top position
game lists also in text form / list view
game title should be visible without hovering

total: 0/8 resolved
no comment...

Yea, i also really miss the sort by old/new games in the shop list. Also the Filter which would filter games by years like "all games from "older - 1980", "1980 - 1990" and so on. It was a very great feature especially it made so much sense for "Good OLD Games"...

While I cannot answer the question why GOG is obviously not only far too slow in fixing anything regarding the website but instead breaking new things (like the countdown clock), I can answer you why they ask you if the issue has been resolved. Obviously they fixed it on their end but they have to make sure that it works for those who opened the ticket as well so they usually ask if the issue has been resolved or they say something like "the issue should been resolved if you still have problems ..." so this is not really unusual.

sasm: .... it made so much sense for "Good OLD Games"...
Which this is not anymore since several years. (Of course this does not make the missing feature obsolete).
