No offense , but how many games ( soundtracks , DLCs , upgrades don't count ) are actually on sale ?

PoulVantera: Me neither but it's reassuring I'm not alone on this. Though after looking at their suggested GPU compared to mine I reckon I won't be buying this anytime soon until I get to upgrade my hardware, which effectively rendered the original question moot.
Sorry to have wasted your time like that. :/
No worries, I was curious about it myself after reading your question.
low rated
Really, we are all going to walk away with something super special. Well I will save, any money I had for this sale.
This place really is heading downwards towards the lowest common denominator, hyped up nothing to drag people in to look at your sales, "realeases" of cosmetics and soundtrack dlc for a drastically broken alpha demo of a game.
I am pondering a little, too on what to pickup from my shortlist below. I don't really want to buy that many, so that list will be pruned. Any additional opinions are welcome:).

Kim
The theme is interesting - and someone in the reviews named 80 Days, which I enjoyed as a casual style game - not least as I've read Kipling's Kim.

Banished
I've always liked the city builders of old - so Banished has been on my radar for a good long while. On the other hand that it is very slow - and especially as some said, early after release, that there's a very straightforward 'optimal' way to do things might be a bit of a turn off.

Shelter / Shelter 2 / Shelter 2 DLCs / Paws: Pitter Patter

I keep coming back to them when they are on sale as the concept really intrigues me. I am doing a lot of ecosystem monitoring and similar so just on that end seeing how this translates is interesting. I'll probably bite with one of them, this time - but ... hm ... decisions. Any particular favourite?

Gratuitous Space Battles 2

Much as Shelter I keep coming back to this one - and at this price it's really worth a gamble. OTOH the reviews are middling. I liked FTL - but then this isn't much like it I gather. I am not sure the gameplay really holds up all that well.

Mini Metro

I like the idea - much as with Shelter - in that it goes minimalist and abstract. Questionmark on how long lasting it is. As above I really liked FTL and Tharsis, so don't mind RNGs that screw you over - as long as there's enough of a chance to at least attempt to influence what happens and it is not ALL random.

This War of Mine

As with Kim - the scenario interests. I like darker themes and have a rather black sense of humour at times. Bugs, Shortness and the like give me pause.

NEO Scavenger

The one I am probably most ambivalent about. I like RPGs. but generally more story driven ones. I don't really like pure Roguelikes - but as above the type of game where there's at least enough strategy underlying (see FTL) do appeal. I don't mind dated graphics; but the odd perspective of the map screen, from the screenshots, would probably bother me. I run a high resolution screen (3840*2160) - so scaling might be a concern.

elcook: [...] Wishlist notifications should work for all sales. If it haven't worked for you this time we'd nee to investigate it. [...]
[emphasis added]

I had no idea that wishlist notifications have maiden names. ;-P

I've not gotten a single one since this type of notifications was introduced, but I can't confirm that it was because none of my wishlisted games were on sale (didn't really check), or because the notifications don't work as should.

But, please!, unless you also give me an option to disable them, I'd rather you didn't investigate and fix them for me.

elcook: [...] The record low is for all legit digital distribution services, i.e. we haven't taken marketplaces into account for that. [...]
[emphasis added]

I took it to refer specifically to GOG, but since you say it doesn't, note that several people have mentioned that the part I highlighted isn't accurate, so you may want to look into it again.

Vythonaut: Thanks for the info. :D
The answer still applies. ;-P
Record low prices in U$D!

There are different regional pricing schemes in different shops.

Every time the Oddworld series is on sale it seems one title is missing and standard price so I can never get it. Astonishing how GoG users are always neglected.

Well, you can get it all now at a discount (with one title free as well).

Martian12: In other news, any opinions, pros/cons about Inquisitor?

PaterAlf: I liked it a lot. Good story and dialogues in my eyes. But many people hated the fighting. You lose your stamina very quickly while fighting and so you are forced to carry around a lot of potions all the time. And there is also a bug that will make the game crash after some hours, so you should save constantly.
Thanks a lot for the info! Probably I'm gonna wait until the next sale, it always have a big discount after all and I'd like to clear some backlog. But yeah, I think I'm gonna try this one.
To all the hypocrites who rated down my original post in this thread, how does it feel now to be duped by GOG's false hypehood knowing that Humble Bundle is also offering the same game for free without any misleading/false hope advertisements?

It was obvious GOG only included that line to drive traffic to their shitty little sale selling games most of us already own or don't have wishlisted.

Been a customer since 2013 but stunts like this make me not want to shop here anymore, what a sham.

Random_Coffee: Free games is always nice, thanks! I'm more of a FPS-man myself though, so.. is Stranger's Wrath worth a grab?
Most definitely. For an FPS-man like yourself I think you'll ejoy it.
As already mentioned, the developer/publisher is giving Abe's Oddyssee away for free on Humble and Steam as well.
