It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I'll try to respond to your questions as accurately as I can. :)

Johny.: No, you should be online if you visited GOG.com website. Unfortunately we can't check this on the weekend. :(
avatar
adaliabooks: Any news on this? It's getting quite annoying....
I see - online status on chat is currently not bumped by website. There is an issue that requires a bit of the system to be reconstructed (read: not hackfixed ;) ). It concerns "only" chat and Galaxy Client friends list.

avatar
HypersomniacLive: Then again, it's been well past two months since the equally annoying redirecting to the front page bug was acknowledged by Johny., and not a word after that, in spite me inquiring about it several times.
This bug is acknowledged, but lower priority than other ones. :)

avatar
HypersomniacLive: And has the "Leave page" bug on game pages been addressed? Would be nice to know if it's OK to change that about:config setting back again.
I see it doesn't happen anymore.

When I dug into it out of curiosity last weekend - it turned out to be a weird youtube-originated bug that resulted in script load failure, that combined with our stats collecting script. Crazy stuff. :)

adaliabooks: Thanks for the reply Johny :)
Small update on this one: I am not entirely sure about how online statuses will work in the future, so we need to wait for it to clarify. Sorry for misinformation!
Hi, guys!

We're investigating the issue with wonky languages on the forums, but we need your help. Could you, please, provide me with your language cookie: gog_lc ?

To do that you can either use a Chrome/Firefox extension (like EditThisCookie) or use your browser's developer tools:

Chrome:
Go to Developer Console (View->Developer->JavaScript Console) -> Application -> Cookies

Firefox
Go to Developer Console (Tools->Web Developer->Toggle Console) -> *Storage -> Cookies

If you don't see Storage in your console, go to console settings (the cogwheel in the upper-right corner) and mark the checkbox next to Storage in the Default Developer Tools section.

Thanks for your help!
Thanks, guys! :)

We deployed a fix that should solve the issue. If you happen to encounter the issue, ping me and we'll look into it again.

MarkoH01: Oops, they did it again. No account button in community area. :(
Will try to update my Firefox and see if that works as HypersomniacLive and others don't have the problem.

Edit: Nope
They had non-broken script file cached on their machine.
I can confirm it's broken.
I guess you all need to wait until Monday for the fix...

Its fixed now, sorry. :)

HypersomniacLive: Good to see the account tab is back to working condition again.

But, checking my chat reminded me of another bug, namely:

avatar
HypersomniacLive: So, what's the status on this one? Will this be fixed, now that GOG Galaxy got its new/revamped chat? It's been almost 3 months now...
I was speaking too soon on that, I speak too much.
I can't share details about our plans, but it will be addressed (not in next few weeks) and it will include awesomeness. :)

HypersomniacLive: So, ETA is soon™?
Not soon-we-don't-know-when-at-all, more like soon-it's-planned-but-I-won't-tell. :D

avatar
HypersomniacLive: And I'd like to be excited about the awesomeness part, but GOG probably thought the fresher, better GOG and the NAS were also awesome changes, so there's that. Still curious, though.
I find it better when introducing new features to website or software - thing gets redesigned so all the features compose nice with each other (and is more compatible with future plans).
avatar
eiii: Despite the even more ugly new style almost nothing is working, no more "ACCOUNT" tab, the game list is not loading, under "ABOUT" only the Galaxy page is showing (or is that intentional?), under "SUPPORT" an empty page is shown, ...
The only part which (still?) works for me is the community part.
avatar
muntdefems: Are you using AF or BE? I use neither and everything works fine for me.

...and I quite like the new design. :P
BarefootMonkey already mentioned that he would have to work on BE https://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_gog_change_tracker_v2/post109 so if you are using BE that may be one reason why things are looking weird now...

Johny.: snip

BKGaming: Is anyone ever going to fix the issues in the new menu? It's been a few weeks since it's been added. I realize now what the issue is... as GOG adds/removes new links (for sales or important releases like Outlast 2/ Inside) the pictures and stuff don't scale properly (at-least on Firefox) to the length of the menu. See pic.
After consulting with the team developing menu, I'm afraid I'd have to use the best sentence ever:
It's not a bug, it's a feature. It was intended to have this height.

avatar
BKGaming: Well then please you should also tell that team it looks like crap that way, sorry if that is blunt... it's needs to match the height of the menu links and scale together. That or the height of the menu links needs to be a fixed size to match the pictures.

I can't believe they would think that looks okay. It looks really unprofessional. :(

EDIT: Meh I should probably be little more nice. I know it's not your fault Johny. xD
I'll send your aesthetic concern to the designer of the menu. You're right it's more because of disabling an element inside, not by design - but I remember things even sticking out of the dropdown (like a character from the game), so that might be treated loosely.

off-topic: I noticed comminuty have bad days now :P (I see the reason behind it) One person even indicated I was full of sh.. just for asking a question. ;) I hope our (GOG & comminuty) relationship will get back to normal soon. In the end, it's a relationship full of love. :P

Sorry for not answering forum-related questions or issues, it's not really my area. About notifications on forum replies - GOG (woo, personification :P ) is considering options internally, but he can't promise anything to you.

Maxvorstadt: Since a few minutes, GoG webpages are loading slowly and won`t come to an end. The weirdest thing is the main page, see attached picture.
It's probably something on your end. CSS files are loading from a different domain. Please try to open those links, you should see a lot of text there starting with "@charset "UTF-8"":

https://www4-static1.gog.com/css/8f695fb-e875d77.css

If it fails to load, you should check why.

You can also check network tab in your browser to get into the details on gog.com - feel free to chat me for assistance.

eiii: Removing the notifications from the web site and providing them only in Galaxy already has been worse enough. But after the community had developed a replacement, thanks to Barefoot_Monkey, in a 2nd step also to remove the API used by that replacement, again without providing an alternative, hasn't been nice at all and I would like to hear why that has been necessary.
Galaxy doesn't have them (forum replies) too right now.

It's in progress to get forum replies notifications and chat notifications on www.gog.com

moonshineshadow: Anyone else have this strange thing in their library? o.O
Do you still have it after https://www.gog.com/account/refresh ? :)
avatar
eiii: The game list only displays 2000 games, the last page, page 41 of 41, is empty.
As so often, this bug has been discovered first by mrkgnao.
Quick update: this should be fixed.
I can see the error, and have passed the news to the website team if they don't know it already.

It is happening based on strange conditions, but looking at the error itself should be enough to fix it.
