Disconnected: How recently have you played Deus Ex? - I ask, because I really don't think you can make that argument. It is very much a game where the sum is greater than the parts. And I'm a wee bit sceptical tightening up the shooter bits or bringing the graphics up to date would change it for the worse.

That game is ripe for a MOD to improve lighting and include high-res textures, a la Half-Life Source
