I'm in for Desperados - Wanted Dead or Alive.

I came to get Fallout for free a few years ago, then I left. I came back to get another free game, and then a friend of mine was having trouble getting KOTOR to run on his Win 7 machine. I looked up some threads for him and looked up a few other games. There are some great suggestions to get older games working on modern equipment in the forums. Then I started participating in GAs and hosting a few of my own...this is a great community.

Awesome GA and thanks, but not in, as I have enough games right now *cough* Terraria *cough*


My first experiences here were during the spring insomnia sale. What insanity! I had conversations about absolutely stupid things and then had a light sabre battle. For some reason, I think Sage was involved. Anyways, sleep deprivation allowed for some fun conversations and antics. After the sale was over, I was so blown away by the general awesomeness, I hung around. I've been having a blast here ever since.

Haha, well I said to myself I would only enter no more than one GA per week, but ooooooh, I just can't pass up a chance for Desperados - Wanted Dead or Alive. Thank you!

Ok, I changed my mind:
I'm in for The Longest Journey :D

Though I have a GOG account for some time, I started using it only recently (maybe a week ago) as I didn't think I can find anything there. But my brother, who created his account at the end of summer, enrolled in forum activities: chats, forum games, giveaways and tradings, and I caught myself somewhat jealous of his fun time spending. Then I began my journey in the forums, searching for interesting topics and maybe some opportunities to grab an awesome game or a couple (which I did manage!). But at first I was like "What the heck? What are you people talking about? What does it all mean?" or something like that :D I found myself confused by everything. But then my brother showed me some more interesting threads, I even made one thread (which I consider pretty successful). And at first, I was more keen on 'hunting' some reputation points to, I don't know, maybe compete with my brother, but then I discovered the spirit of the GOG community - everybody (well, except for scammers..) here's like a part of a big family, helping each other, discussing various topics of daily life, being polite while trading and gifting, in other words, carig for each other.

And that's awesome! Hope to get to know some people here, or even find friends with similar hobbies (and not only gaming)! :)

I checked the forums when I first came and found some nice people who were giving away things, but not didn't find much talk about in my genres of games or anything else, so I wandered back off once those GAs expired. (Didn't win anything then, but wasn't bothered by that part. In fact, I enjoyed them anyway because they were doing simple silly rhymes and jokes, and I could add something there.)

I wandered back about this time last year and found the forum had changed a lot - or maybe I just finally found the right threads. Anyway, I am enjoying talking to people here for as long as that lasts. It's been a lot of fun, and I've been amazed at the generosity of people here, including your own good self, Dessimu. No matter who wins, it is incredibly decent of you to share this way. Thank you for prompting another fun thread too!
