Being evil feels so good. Get a chance to choose the dark side and try being as bad as you can in this great strategy.

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/dungeon_keeper]Dungeon Keeper is the revolutionary RTS with a twist: you’re not the good guy. Each level, your ultimate goal is to defeat the local hero that comes to end your reign of the underworld. Discipline your minions, construct fiendish traps, and slaughter the witless forces of good while you enrich your coffers and prove that you are the ultimate bad guy. The dark humor of the game will keep you in stitches, but the real treat is the refreshing nature of playing as the bad guy. You’re not the one rescuing the princess, you’re the one imprisoning her! Now it’s your turn to conquer the world, and don’t let the generic hero stop you!
beware! the lord of the land approaches!

oh my, I love this game... ;)
finally, I can stop feeling dirty and pay someone for a copy :D
I should add that I do recommend anyone who hasn't played this game already to buy it and do so immediately. True, this release doesn't contain all that I had hoped it would, but Dungeon Keeper in itself is still an absolutely fantastic game, that delivers an awful lot of great entertainment. So if you don't have it, buy it!
i have dungeon keeper 2.. is that better?
Dungeon Keeper was a multilanguage game when it came out, but GOG is only offering the English version. Why?

Personally, I prefer DK1 over DK2, but DK2 is still an excellent game.

I would like to know that too.

Awesome news anyway.
I already own 2 retails copies of DK1 and I went totally "WHAT THE HELL ?! THIS IS AMAZING !!!" when I saw the news

sadly, I then learned it's not "perfect" :

- no Gold edition

- no Deeper Dungeon

- no multi-language
nb : the other languages were excellent too, I know it's hard to believe but back then the localization was correctly done.

It's an extremely good start, knowing how EA usually handles old IP, I really can't wait for the rest of the Dungeon Keeper content, why would they refuse to add it now that the original game is there ? good luck gog.com :)

Are you sure about that? There are several other games where the gamecard only state English, but other languages are included.
Yes, I've checked and only one speech file is included.

Besides, download is only 200 mb which does not match the multi-language version
I have been playing Dungeon Keeper since I was a wee lad. It never gets old. I've bought quite a few old games from GOG, and most of them just don't do it for me after the first few plays... but this...

The best thing about it is the fights. If you use headphones, you can hear the ear-piercing shrieks and eardrum-busting spell explosions. The fights, especially when your creatures start levelling up and the heroes are at the top of their game, are awesome. They are completely insane, and you don't know what the hell's going on. Tornadoes, flying tomatos, the weird "dommmm" sound of shields and invisibility, plagues, people turning to chickens, that horrible lightning attack... the fantastic shattering glass effect of Word of Power... this game is revolutionary and exciting and hilarious and endlessly enjoyable. The only problem is, is that it is far too easy. But nevermind. We just have to make it harder on ourselves.

DK 1 is one of the ONLY games I keep coming back to. Without a doubt, it is my favouritest game ever, and even though Dungeon Keeper 2 was interesting, it pales in comparison to the raw and original design of the first game.
I'm torn about whether to get it or not. DOSBoxing the lesser quality version of the game seems like a quick & dirty release and I'd much rather hold out and see if they release the 95 version with the addons as I have that version on disk. But I've not played DK1 in ages and I'd like to.
It should be better with Deeper Dungeon and D3D support.

This may account for some of the reasons GOG havent got the expansions

Just a thought
Man, I'm so torn on getting this game. On the one hand, I love me some DK. On the other hand, every time I've gone back to play it, I kept getting stuck on the same mission. I can't remember the exact details, but I want to say it was one where I started in the middle of the map with like no walls and some enemies on top of my ass before I could do anything.
