Being evil feels so good. Get a chance to choose the dark side and try being as bad as you can in this great strategy.

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/dungeon_keeper]Dungeon Keeper is the revolutionary RTS with a twist: you’re not the good guy. Each level, your ultimate goal is to defeat the local hero that comes to end your reign of the underworld. Discipline your minions, construct fiendish traps, and slaughter the witless forces of good while you enrich your coffers and prove that you are the ultimate bad guy. The dark humor of the game will keep you in stitches, but the real treat is the refreshing nature of playing as the bad guy. You’re not the one rescuing the princess, you’re the one imprisoning her! Now it’s your turn to conquer the world, and don’t let the generic hero stop you!

K387: Man, I'm so torn on getting this game. On the one hand, I love me some DK. On the other hand, every time I've gone back to play it, I kept getting stuck on the same mission. I can't remember the exact details, but I want to say it was one where I started in the middle of the map with like no walls and some enemies on top of my ass before I could do anything.
believe me, you've got better since then ;)

kelmer44: Dungeon Keeper was a multilanguage game when it came out, but GOG is only offering the English version. Why?

We didn't obtain the rights to release the game in other languages. It may be the case that the localized versions of the game have been made by other companies with whom we'd have to sign separate contracts.
That's too bad. Let's hope you can fix that in the future.

Anyway, great release.
8) it is here! ... finally!

Thank you sooooooo much!

And Crusader will be here too?! And Privateer and ... AWMYGAWD!

Another summer I will be spending indoor - so it seems.

I was pretty psyched to see both DK and Ultima underworld released.
I really hope the expansion pack will follow later. GOG tell EA to check out this thread. Then they will understand that the community really wants the Deeper Dungeons.

Till then I will play my DK1 and DK2 discs.

p.s. I really hope Theme Hospital will be one of the EA titles coming to GOG.com

Theme Hospital would be awesome!

I still have the disc for that somewhere at my moms apartment, and it actually works in Win7.

Also, another vote for DK1 expansion pack and Win95 edition.
Great release, now just add Deeper Dungeons and the Win95 version! Oh, and DK2 of course! :D

Klem: I already own 2 retails copies of DK1 and I went totally "WHAT THE HELL ?! THIS IS AMAZING !!!" when I saw the news

sadly, I then learned it's not "perfect" :

- no Gold edition

- no Deeper Dungeon

- no multi-language
nb : the other languages were excellent too, I know it's hard to believe but back then the localization was correctly done.
Hopefully, I got all those on a flea Market 3 years before. Imho one of the best translated game, you gotta love the anouncer of the levels praising the choas you've done and how disturbing ugly good it is before you enters them
you're AMAZING!!!!!!
I'm actually replaying Dungeon Keeper and it´s great. Good job!

I hope we´ll see Deeper Dungeons and D3D support in the future.

what about Deeper Dungeons? Is there a chance you'll get it?

btw: I cannot thank you enough :)

This is a great game. I prefere Dungeon Keeper 2 for the improved controls, the better imprisonment and fallen rescue system and the imps that level-up working.
BUT, the first DK wins for the charm: most of the creatures in your army are weird. This little thing alone make you really feel like a evil overlord.
Instead in DK2 most creatures are humanoid and so you feel just another RTS...

Duffadash: You really shouldn't. DK1 was in many ways superior. You can get the win95 version running with KeeperFX (http://keeper.lubie.org/html/dk_keeperfx.php)
Last time i tried KeeperFX it just crashed my system, i'll try to ger the win95 version and give KFX another spin, thanks!

I noticed that you dont even need to have the game to play keeperfx, it downloads all the needed files, that cant be fully legal
