S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, SiN Gold, Luftrausers, and more shooty titles up to 80% off!

Pistols, machine guns, rifles, cannons, lasers... most of the time they turn out to be the best means of negotiating safe passage through a swarm of aliens, a horde of zombies, or waves of killer robots dead set on exterminating you. You're about to scratch that itch on your trigger finger. This weekend we give you 20+ games that go "pew! pew!" So take a look at some of the titles from this weekend's promo lineup , ranging from old-school FPS classics, to delirious action-arcade gems.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, the fitting conclusion to the acclaimed series, delivers one of the most immersive and enthralling experiences in the history of first-person shooters, with heavy focus on stealth and exploration. SiN Gold, a true FPS hallmark that was overlooked at launch mostly due to performance issues, is your "shoot first, ask questions later" title, lauded for exceptional level design and smooth mechanics. If you're looking for some indie, over-the-top fun you can't go wrong with Tower of Guns, a roguelike love letter to the insane shooters of the past, full of robotic fiends and evolving guns. Not a fan of the FPS genre? Make sure to check out Luftrausers, a stylish monochrome retro shoot-em up with loads of unlockable weapons and mechanical parts that change the way your aircraft handles.

There is plenty more deeply discounted sure shots in the lineup so head over to the promo page and see for yourself! The offer lasts until Tuesday, September 23, at 3:59 AM GMT!

tinyE: Am i missing something with Lauft (whatever)? There is no way to fire using the game pad not that it matters because there is no way to exit the game either, or change any of the settings. Of course there is no manual so maybe that doesn't matter. XD
So the game doesn't work with an Xbox 360 controller? I thought the controls were rebindable.
Well, may as well pick up Aqua Kitty for that price even though I'm not the biggest Defender fan, the aesthetics are cute enough.

How come Total Overdose never goes on sale? Seems like a perfect candidate for a pew pew sale.

mrking58: Just bought slave zero. I liked LGR's review of it

IronArcturus: Interesting! Have you tried the first Alien Shooter game? How does it compare to the sequel?
Haven't played those, sorry :)

Well, I can't speak for the GOG version because I've been playing the Humble Bundle version, but I'm certainly not hallucinating using the Xbox 360 controller for Luftrausers. It is a little confusing because the game tells you to push X and the fire button is actually A, IIRC, but it definitely works. It is true, though, that the game is weird about closing down as you basically have to go back to window mode and just click the window shut. There's no actual "quit" option or any other option menu.
No!! I won't buy any more games!!!........ oh ok, I'll take Sin Gold but THAT'S IT!!

Wondering this too. It just sits on my wishlist, insisting it is worth full price. Which possibly it is.

It allows me to use part of the controller but it won't let me define the buttons (at least not that I can find) so I'm having a lot of trouble here. Like I said, I can't find a menu of any kind.

Is there a configuration file to edit in the game's directory?

If there is I can't find it.
Excellent promo, picked up Slave Zero, Strike Suit Zero, Chaos Engine, and Expendable. Thank you!

So tempted to bite on the two STALKER games I don't yet have (missed the original promo, got Chernobyl last week during the birthday promos).

Though, I will admit, medical stuff this week has made me more willing to chuck money at people to get new things regardless of whether I need them or can actually wait.
WAIT I found it. Push O on the opening screen.

Still a little fast for me. :-(

Is that the title screen or the main menu? It's just the letter "O" on the keyboard?
Thanks to PeterAlf, I got the first Stalker on sale previously.

Instant buy on the other 2 games to complete my collection.

Happy as a pig in shit!
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl was really compulsive when I played through it, there are some tricky multiple endings but otherwise really nice strategic gunplay despite some redundancy. Playing through was so intense I haven't gotten to the expansion/sequels yet but 60% off the lot is a good bang for your buck.

Picked up Slave Zero (first time on GOG sale, I think) and [not in promo but launch discounted] Reprisal Universe.

Title screen. Just O. It should say that somewhere down in the right corner.
