Games have taught me to
Rpgs: read, plan and strategize, money management, being good is more fun and gets you more quests and items.
Persona4: Learn to balance life with saving the world. English skills
Shenmue:Time management
Strategy: tactics
FPS: how to anticipate an attack and to be observant of my surroundings. Also on how to conserve ammo. Any weapon can be a good weapon in the hands of a professional.
Adventure games: expect the unexpected and the oddest solution.
Stealth: patients is rewarding, how to sneak around.
General: critical thinking, planing, time management, and not to give up
Super Mario Bros. 3: Italians can fly so long as they wear a raccoon costume, even a shoddy one that just has the ears and tail.

Narwhal: Europa Universalis III In Nomine / Magna Mundi : More history than an history major.

This. I played that for so long, and for such long sessions, that I was sure that Bohemia rose to be THE dominant nation in central, western and eastern Europe.

MysterD: Mass Effect
3.ME1 vs. ME2 - Shepard has evolved. He comes off as less of a jerk in ME2.

Unless you play it totally renegade, in which case you flitter rather schizophrenically between badass and asshole.
Borderlands, Fallout 1, 2 + 3. as well as some of the more violent FPS's: If you shoot someone in the head, there is a chance it will explode or fly off the body from the neck at an absurd speed.

Bluekkis: All games: English.

Me too!
In the intro of "The great battles of Caesar" there were the correct succession of battles of Roman civil war.
All rts games: Build later, expand first. Stupid Warcraft 3...=)
Absolutely nothing, well, actually, after Baldur's Gate I'm suspicious of any damsels in distress that throw themselves at me... which is lots, honest! ¬_¬
