The last game I was then playing was Commandos. I felt I needed a new avatar because my last one was Gnome from Arcanum (just something I picked at random, while playing Arcanum), but user Hesusio also had/has the same one as his avatar. So I went through Commandos avatars and took the one I liked the most.

So really, my avatar is just a random pick. No hidden meanings behind it, and Commandos isn't even my favorite game (although it's still great)

My avatar is a Gibson SG guitar, which is my favourite model of electric guitar. I own a Gibson SG-62 reissue circa 1990 and have been playing guitar for 27 years (although the avatar image is taken from the web and not my actual guitar).

I used to have a Fallout Tactics power armor avatar, but a few other posters had the same thing, so I went to a "help me pick an avatar" thread that I can't find anymore, and a handsome stranger suggested I pick Eva from Grim Fandango. I added the yellow background for flair, and because the Fallout Tactics one was kind of yellow and I liked it.

I Like playing wood elfs and thought this looked like a great avatar so thats what happened.

I'm a fan of Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader, sort of the black sheep of the classic isometric cRPGs made from 1997-2004. Everyone can namecheck their Fallout, their Planescape Torment, their Baldur's Gates, etc, but this was the Black Isle Studios cRPG no one played. It was half of a good game (thankfully the first half) and had promise as an alt-historical fantasy RPG before devolving into a brainless Diablo clone. My avatar is Hernan Cortes, a character in-game.

It looks like one of the two pathetic bad guys near the end of Syberia II (from memory).

My avatar is pic crop from album "Talvikuningas" (Winter king) by "CMX". One of my favorite bands and albums. All the songs on the album actually make up a fragmented scifi epic. The album and art pics in it also resemble very much finnish pnp sci-fi rpg "Heimot" (Tribes) - which has pretty interesting setting.

My avatar can also be seen in music video, albeit with less detail.
