Charles Cecil says an announcement will be made at 2PM BST tomorrow.

He's already hinted that it's Broken Sword 5, but we don't officially know that ;)

What we know so far is that BS5 is likely to be in 2D, it'll probably be returning to the roots of the series and we also know that there will be a goat somewhere in the game.

So there's that.

let's HOPE!

A-well a-everybody's heard about da bird
I have to play Broken Sword 2 to 4 then. Hopefully GOG will have a promotion on those games in the near future.
I liked the first Broken Sword a lot but the remake wasn't as good. Too many cut dialogs and less interaction. Also, most of the new puzzles involved sliding tiles which are the kind of puzzles I hate.
Remember when people said the adventure genre is dead and buried?

I would guess it is one of the most active now.
Lookinjg forward to this...must get # 4 soon.
Good to know, I'm sure we will then get an update of the series. I really hope it can catch up the old games and they don't just port the tablet version for the pc, especially the controls. As a complete new game the graphics shouldn't been mixed up like the remastered versions, which was a little bit disturbing.

Surprise surprise, it's a Kickstarter project.

And they offer their games on gog.com as a reward, which means we should expect BS5 being downloadable here.

They were saying this years before they said that PC gaming is dead ;D

Yeah, indie gaming definitely restored adventure games greatness. as for isometric RPGs in some way, too. And I love that!

This is great. It was publishers who demanded that 3 and 4 be 3D and have all those crappy plot additions no one liked. It was publishers who were delaying 5, too. It's great to have this game completely publisher free.

I may have to pledge a stupid amount of money to it.
Mixed feelings... After Doctor Who: The 'Adventure Games' I'm not sure if Charles Cecil has still got it, or even knows what an adventure game is any more.

Backed! The atmosphere, dialog and sound in the video certainly brings back great memories from the first Broken Sword game; and I sure do hope they keep it that way.
Glad they're going back to more hand-drawn look!
Added to the Kickstarter list.

Backed.

I wonder if I'm going to have trouble finding the time to play all these Kickstarter-adventures that I've backed when they start showing up next year...

Only fitting considering how popular zombies are these days.
