That $50 tier looks tempting, specially because I wanted to buy the previous games on GOG anyway. I might do the $100 tier if the shipping isn't terribly expensive.
I'm definitely backing this the minute my next salary is deposited.

The $100 tier has shipping included for the US and UK... You might want to ask them to see how much shipping to South America is, though. It should be fairly easy to get in contact.
Interesting idea to go back to 2d. I think it could work well.

I hope the project gets backed. I think it will, as it's a high profile series.
Ah screw it, I'll back this. Don't disappoint me Charles!

SirPrimalform: Mixed feelings... After Doctor Who: The 'Adventure Games' I'm not sure if Charles Cecil has still got it, or even knows what an adventure game is any more.
GOG has been helping Charles out a bit with the Kickstarter campaign--thus, we're giving away codes for it and will be distributing the PC codes for Kickstarter backers--and I've gotten the chance to see a little bit of the actual game.

He's still got it. Don't worry. ;)
This is so bloody AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I assume it's safe to say that those Kickstarters that offered (or will offer) bonus games on GOG will be distributed by GOG?

I'd also like to ask about that mysterious publisher who is funding Jane Jensens Mysterious Game X, but I'm sure you won't tell a thing, even if you had something to say.

Now, somebody has to go and tell Funcom to start Longest Journey kickstarter.

It's not guaranteed, no, but consider it "pretty likely" for most of 'em.

Nice, I hope you'll be able to release other Kickstarter games as well (Shadowrun, Wasteland 2), having new 60k/36k possible members is something worth to look for imo.
I've always been a huge Revolution fan but the last Broken Sword game was pretty soulless - the locations were poorly made and the puzzles were not that great so it's good to see they're going back to 2D. 2D simply has too many advantages over 2D:

- more attention to detail possible
- fixed camera position so less easy to miss something
- it looks more stylistic
- less fiddly to move around
etc.

Anyway, I immediately pledged $100.
$50 seems to be the best value and very tempting.

Kinda wish they had a tier at around $75 for the boxed game, comics and soundtrack without the T-Shirt and Poster.

What? ;D

Yeah, after I heard they are going to go 2D again I actually am excited for this. I really couldn't stand all those lifeless boring sequels after the second game.
$50,000+ already. :D Keep it coming, folks.
I thought the third game was very well-written, and the puzzles were all extremely logical; I enjoyed it greatly. What problems it had (clunky controls, tedious block-pushing puzzles, awful stealth segments, large areas where there wasn't actually much of anything to do but look at the pretty 3D!) did seem to come down to being a 3D game with a new control style, so going back to 2D is probably for the best.

All this reminds me that I still need to play Angel of Death; well, plenty of time before the fifth one comes out.

Is that official that backers will get the new game here then?
