F4LL0UT: I don't think so but the first post from a new user from these parts of the World which isn't about technical issues is usually spam. Glad to see that you're legit. :D

OmarTheSyrian: Hello everyone.
My name is Omar, I'm 18 years old and I'm from Damascus,Syria.
I've been watching GOG for a while and it's really an AMAZING website (store).
i just want to say thank you to the management of GOG and keep up the good work and know that the whole world is watching you getting bigger and bigger.
I hope that someday I'll be able to buy from here. but some free games are always good :D I missed my favorite M&B but maybe I'll get The Witcher.
By the way I love the community ;)
Sincerely, Omar
Welcome to GOG, Omar!
It's my pleasure to see someone from your country, I think you're the first Syrian whom I've seen here . In 2009, I traveled all around Syria and it was a great experience. The hospitality of the people was higher than I've encountered anywhere else in the world, it was almost a bit unreal.

Here's a little story:
On the bus from Latakia to Aleppo, a fellow passenger started to talk to me in English and when we arrived in Damascus, he invited me to stay at his family's home for as long as I wanted. I'm not used to rely on the kindness of strangers but Syrians take the tradition of hospitality very seriously, so I thankfully accepted and when I arrived at his house, all his relatives treated me like I belong to the family, as if having a complete stranger in the house was completely normal and no big deal.
It was a bit difficult for me to accept that according to Syrian hospitality, I wasn't allowed to pay for anything so even if I wanted to go to an internet cafe, my local friend insisted on paying for that. Fortunately, I was able to return the generosity at least a little bit by painting a watercolor portrait of my Syrian friend and giving it to him as a gift.
Even now, years later, I still haven't seen such hospitality anywhere else, in most places of the world people are more distrustful of strangers and most wouldn't just let them inside their houses. It makes me sad to see all the bad news about Syria in the media, first of all it's always a tragedy when people suffer and it's also regretful that many people who have never known about Syria have only heard the bad things about war and not the great things about history and culture and the people.

Anyway, since you're new here: What games are on your wishlist? Anything you're particularly interested in?
Welcome to GOG!
Greetings from Italy too : )
أهلين! وين ساكن؟ في الشام؟

Now that there's two of us, I'll send again my request to GOG management to make a general conversation forum in Arabic, like they did for French. For some reason they keep telling me they don't have enough users.
