I used to play many good games like Mount and Blade, Rise of Nations, Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends, The Lord Of The Rings: Battle For Middle Earth2...... when I had Windows Xp but now because my VGA is not compatible with Windows 7 I can't play so many games that I used to.
Of course:
Intel Celeron CPU 2.80 GHz
1 GB RAM, I had more but they were cooked with their slots.
GeForce 7600 GT 265 MB 128-bit (not compatible with Windows 7, I have tried to update it but I couldn't)

awalterj: It must be difficult to play games when electricity goes on and off, especially if it's a game where you can't save anytime you want.
It looks like you enjoy strategy games a lot. How about Stronghold HD, do you have that one already? If not, I can give you a code, the game should run without problems on your system as its 2D and older.

MaximumBunny: Windows XP isn't that much of an issue. Worst case scenario, you get Xubuntu or something instead of Windows 7 and you work with Linux games.
