There's something I've been wondering about: how's your English so good? I've kind of expected that English would be given a lower priority over there. Is it just you or is it common for Syrians to be able to speak English?

Thanks for the photo. Last time I visited Aleppo was in 2010, just some months before the conflict in Syria started (though Aleppo was quite safe a year or so after it started; one of the safest places in fact). There was a school trip and the kids asked me to take their photos. I too wonder what happened to them now.

Aleppo is a nice city, though not as good as Damascus ;) (they do have better food than us though...). It's really sad to see what happened to it now. The historical town center is badly damaged. While being very safe at first when the conflict started, now it's one that taken a relly heavy toll. It's been a battle zone since 2012 now, and one in which all sides of the conflict are taking part.

ِMy English isn't that good to be honest, it was way better a few years ago, Now i have so much spelling mistakes when writing because when you're not using the language every day you will start to forget it.
No, you've been misguided, the English have high priority over here (we study it from the first grade) and there's French also (the reason why I failed in the last year) and I think they will add Russian very soon.
In this period of time it's more common amongst the 90's generation. even back in the 50's the people used to speak English very well, take a look:

Aleppo is more known for the spicy food, I think that Aleppo and Homs are the most damaged cities in this war.

That is a tough question but putting things in a simple way I would say any pre 2000 game falls into that category (for me at last). Nice gfx? Nice plot? Man - soon we will be floaded with classic Lucasarts adventures - you couldn't find better place & time :-)

And I saw you are worried you will not be able to play with games you get here. Well - don't be. Many of us are just collectors :-P
On a serious note - I saw your system specs - I say at least 1/4 of GOG's catalog will run on your PC just fine.

A lot of the pre 2000 games are great and I need to check some of them, but some good graphics or remake would make them better, I guess?.
I'll be a collector when I can, it's really addictive to see this amount of good games and you'll be like I want this, this, this and this.... and with a good job you can spent +200$ every now and then.
I'm not that worried because I can play the games whenever I want so I can just get some big games and play them when I get a better PC, so it's not a very big issue.
