Skyrim can only be better than oblivion. Since oblivion is already the worst PC game i have ever played.

In related vastly over-blown exaggerations, I got a paper-cut today and I think I might die.

Is not an over-blown exaggeration for me. Oblivion just makes no sense as a game.

So it is worse than say... Daikatana? Or how about Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness?

I was making fun of your hyperbole, not your opinion.
Even so, if oblivion is the worst pc game you've ever played I envy your positive experiences. I, for one, have played the single player campaign in C&C generals

Well i must admit that i avoid crap PC games from the very beginning so i might have missed a lot of even worse PC games than oblivion
Oh trust me, you have. Oblivion was vapid empty buggy repetitive shite (and worse on the PS3 since they just converted the mouse control to one of the thumbsticks & called it a day) but it was the kind of thing I'd give a score of 65% to rather than several I've played that would rate well below 50%

C&C generals was a perfect example, as a single player experience it was simply awful, there's a mission where you can literally finish it with 2 mouse clicks, actually less effort than I took to write the description of it

I don't know which is worse, C&C Generals or C&C4. C&C General had a awesome looking nuke but C&C4 had Joe Kucan, well seeing him appear even if the plot and gameplay is rubbish is somewhat redeeming.
But C&C4 made a mockery of the player, by putting in a woman that I wouldn't marry EVER as the players wife. Quite the insult I must say.
By Zeus, she was annoying!

The poster is nice btw :) Reminded me of manbearpig, half man, half bear and half pig.

Stop Oblivion hatin'. Might not have been the game EVERYONE wanted, but for me, it's on my top 5...

Everyone has a different taste and for me oblivion was just a RPG Armageddon.

For me it's not only not in my top 5, but much closer to my top 5 worst RPG ever (though not quite there, I've played quite a few bad RPGs unfortunately).

Oblivion was full of very bad ideas, and had a very bland world (which is very bad in a game where exploring is the main draw).

If you can call it explore factor. Everything looked the same and even worse was that all was scaled to your level thus destroying any incentive to go around in the world and throwing any challenge out of the window. I tried to install 60 mods but still it did not repair the game. I think the only serious mod you need is the following: Find a mod that removes natural hostility of the monsters and then walk in the wood for 10 minutes and listen to the music. Then deinstall the game....
I am sure Beth is aware of the popular criticism Oblivion received and despite its flaws, Oblivion was a pretty big undertaking. They have the tools to make a huge detailed RPG so I am hopeful. I won't pre-order or buy until I have heard some damn good reviews, but I never do that (except maybe Batman Arkham games).
