...Why? Vlad scammers are an actual problem on kickstarter. I'm 99% sure it's a genuine offer (for certain definitions of genuine, a.k.a. a vlad looking for a US intermediary). And "your intermediary must be a team member" is an actual kickstarter policy established to restrict such scams.

FYI: right now, thousands of Irish citizens are making mad bux "working" as CEOs of hundreds of Russian companies (per person) for tax evasion purposes.

Oh and FYI x2: there's a Russian crowdfunding site that is a direct ripoff of kickstarter, as in, kickstarter run through google translate (and they don't have pledges, they take the money right away indiegogo-style). It won a Startup of the Year in 2012. Pretty disgusting.

Replay Games... well, I'm not going to go there. If you haven't seen the recent related articles on sites like Kotaku, go look.

As for what Sledgy's doing... I suspect he's sincere, but the way he's going about it is as dumb as rocks (for the reasons Starmaker gives - racist terms aside), never mind not knowing the way KS works very well (and that as of late, more adventure game-related KSes are failing than succeeding - Her Majesty's SPIFFING being one such example).

Personally, I would instead recommend the article on Rock, Paper, Shotgun, as it covers this whole shebang in a much more comprehensive and precise way. The Kotaku article pretty much fails spectacularly in that regard by focusing tabloid-style on the Replay CEO's private life and leaving out all the crucial information regarding the interwebz drama that led to Lowe's departure.

But after watching the vid, I do feel kinda bad now for joking, as the person who has made it seems to have some kind of issues. And this project also proves, that there's no real checking going on with the KS projects. They just approve anything, even when it's clearly incoherent mess.

Had a look at the Cybermatrix project by looking at the page and pictures first. Thought that was some kid doing it for laughs. Or just a joke.
