gandalf.nho: The Cybermatrix creator is really persistent (third attempt):
I think I speak for us all when I say I am deeply relieved to get this email from from the Cybermatrix project creator, when I raised the perfectly reasonable concern "I am worried that the quantum turbine engine will be too powerful and may create a quantum vortex which makes a black hole. Can the quantum turbine be underclocked to prevent this?"

He replied:

"the quantum turbine engine is under the security of the eeprom, so it is
impossible to cause an intraplanetary black hole. even if so, it'll suck up
the planet, causing all humans to be killed, which the ai won't also allow.
there is a major security threshold [incl artificial intel security and the
eeprom security. so you're safe."

Whew! Now I can back with confidence that I won't be responsible for destroying the world!
mmm guys, I was just telling my boss that if we launch a completely open crowdfunding site, we will have to deal with nutjobs. So I went to show him the cybermatrix. And he's funded.

Go, internet!

Seriously, it's funny. It's funny but, when I think that we had to close a website about photojournalism for lack of funding yet these jokes do get funded... it gets to me sometimes.

I totally agree with this. It makes me give up the little hope I have for humanity when people refuse to give money to good causes only to spend it on a joke.
He got $504 last time lets push for $2500 this time. I can not believe he got a penny last time yet 3XX as far this time (Im not going back to look.)
I had never heard of Cybermatrix before.
I was happy.
I can't unseen it. I can't forget it.
Serious. That is sad.
An old friend tried kickstarting the 'Immortality project'. Yes, it's a crazy as it sounds. He wasn't joking either.

But how old is this friend?
Has immortality been kind to him?
Meanwhile New Reckoning failed Kickstarter once again, for the fourth time.
Hell, I need to give my early access version a go!

Well, he's been in the military front line (Aussie), he's got a massive scar on his forehead that he hasn't given details on. Some of the stories he's told from those days are a little disturbing too... I'd say he's close to 50 by now.

I'd say he was in the Universal Soldier Program... O.O

It's sad is what it is. Toying with someone who is clearly mentally deficient and feeding his delusions are not the actions of decent people.

I would have to agree with Wishbone here.
But just imagine what will happen if that guy delivers his Cybermatrix... :)

What kind of a spelling is 'schaun' anyway! I've never seen a 'c' in there before!
