Well, finished this game as a paragon on normal difficulty, infiltrator, a few thoughts:
1) Good game, not really RPG anymore, more of an action/adventure with some leveling. Not complaining though, it was fun. Could've maybe used some more abilities, and a little more differentiation between some of the characters. There were definitely people I never used because their mix of abilities was better done by someone else, but I guess it matters depending on your main characters set up.
2) The last end battle was a little lame. I'd go more into it but its a slightly major spoiler for the entire trilogy.
3) Sniper rifles are awesome, and also a little ridiculous. I think I died twice during the entire game, mostly due to stupidity and over-aggressiveness. At the end it wasn't very difficult. Anti-material rifle + assassination cloak + disruptor/warp ammo is where its at.
Just re-starting on insanity with a vanguard, only on the first mission in, but gameplay is so different this time around it'll take some time adjust, I feel like I'm emotionally dependant on the sniper rifle. Not having a good long range weapon is really messing with my tactics. Going renegade this time, going to do some things a little differently, so maybe when #3 rolls around I'll get to see some real change.
Anyone bought the Equalizer Pack ?
How much for the Maelstorm?

bansama: Must say, I still haven't got very far in this. I'm not enjoying it as much as I did the first one. Not sure I'll complete it =/.

A lot of people have a problem with the game mechanic adjustments. I can see that. It's a matter of preference.
Personally, all of the new characters and their storylines in this game are endlessly more engrossing than the first time around. The voice acting is better and the character development is superb. This whole game is worth it for the "loyalty" missions alone, IMO. If you skip any of them, you probably miss the best things that this game has to offer.
