UnrealQuakie: it's pretty annoying having no notification for game updates through the GOG site anymore... so what I need to have Galaxy just to know/get these updates? seems like a force of features and not optional from what they described on the trailers..

I want this back to know what the hell has been updated instead of manually going into each sub forum and trying to find out if there is an update.

I need this! It's real hassle to check manually if I have received new PMs in the chat or replies in the forums.
I mean, c'mon, it's 2017! Notifications in forums everywhere in the Internet were already implemented 20 years ago... ¯\(o_o)/¯

Only saw The Long Dark had been (full DL..) patched because someone in the TLD forums mentioned it, plus I'd been keeping an eye out for it as knew it was over due.

Just saw TB did a bit about Everspace four days ago & noticed his game version showed higher than what I have installed.

Sure enough, came here & see still no notifications. Load up the game account & check Everspace. Surprise surprise, there's a patch.

Would've been nice to have been informed about its existence...

I know this won't make everyone happy, but you can still get game update notifications with the GoG Downloader. Yes, it's a 'client', but about as minimal as possible. Just leave it running minimized and when there's a game update, the icon turns red. I don't use Galaxy, but find this an acceptable route unless/until the notification feature re-appears on the website.

Today I got an update flag for one of my games :-) Maybe a sign of improvements to come?
