supplementscene: We also need to demand Presidents declare who they will investigate before they are elected and why they will investigate that person. ZFR needs to answer this.
errrrr.. No.
For one thing, the president might want to inverstigate the chancellor based on how the policy went. For another he might want to to make his selection based on how voting went. I see no reason why the president should be forced to commit himself to a name before it comes to actually making this decision.

Your "ZFR needs to answer this." kind of gives me the impression you're trying to pick a fight. If I answer "scene" you could be "See!!! He was prejudiced against me".

I promise that, if it actually does come to it, I will not officially pick a name to investigate before having a complete discussion and be completely transparent about my choice.

greeklover: Tell us first if it's a good strategy go with my plan to elect only two governments until the presidency comes back to me.

ZFR: You mean voting NO on governments twice in a row then Yes on next till it comes back to you?

The only risk I see is 2 fascists policies, and then your government getting screwed up by bad cards (or a bad chancellor; whom did you plan to take?).

What do others think?
Not necessarily 2 nos in a row but yes only to 2 out of the following 6 possible governments. And my choice of chancellor would be Basil as a first choice and Scene as a second.
Current list of ZFR suspicious activity:

Votes against a reasonable nomination for his Chancellorship
Accuses likely Liberals of being Fascist
Denies any declaration of who he will investigate in advance.

ZFR is fascist or hitler. It's beyond obvious at this stage.

Asks what he's done that's suspicious, then in the next post becomes ultra suspicious saying he won't say who he'll investigate

Look be open and honest here and say who you're going to investigate in advance. If you pass a Liberal policy to the Chancellor surely you won't need to investigate him because the assumption is that he is fascist anyway?

I've openly stated I'd investigate you and only you if a fascist policy was passed and stated why yet you can't do the same.
Ok I had a look at past posts and decided to vote no, not because I am convinced that Bishop is fascist but because out of the 3 possible presidents for the next government my first choice is the General so I am voting no for the next nominated government too. I hope the General will nominate Scene right? Fellow liberals don't have to follow my vote of course, if I am wrong don't hang me:)

Show me one instance where I accused anyone of being fascist. "likey Liberal" or otherwise. One. Single. Instance.

Fair enough. 2 No's risk chaos but ultimately it won't matter when it gets back to you.

You seem to be running from many questions in this last page, how about you answer them before asking questions of others, questions that have already been answered on previous pages

Just an update. In light of the recent update (i.e. scene's posts), I'll be 100% voting for Rwarehall, especially if he selects scene as his chancellor.

Let's relax a bit, this isn't getting anywhere and there is no evidence that ZFR is a fascist so trying to interrogate / trap him is useless. We are doing our game until now and it's going great. General was the first to say that he is ok with going with the "Greek-Scene" train so that's what I intend to do until major sh! t happens.
Also I'll be away this weekend with little chance to post. Just a heads up.
Seeing Scene's reaction I'm starting to have second thoughts about this government. I get the feeling that at least one of them is not who he claim he is. Both participants were talking about someone else framing them and this is starting to look fishy. I think I might change my mind and pass.
To answer the question posed...should the next 2 governments be denied and it comes to me, I have every intention of nominating Scene. He's the obvious choice with Lift and Greek unavailable who are the only other proven commodities.

I'm still voting yes for ZFR/Scene. I find his posts to be consistent and helpful. I actually find Kusu's opposition interesting. Is this a sign of a Fascist trying to disarm the nomination knowing both ZFR and Scene are libs? I'm sticking with my read. But that's also why we vote.
Well, I guess it's a good time for reads.

Overall I am very comfortable with greek and Lift, in that order. The order is likely unfairly skewed by familiarity and pro-noob bias. I know Lift could be Hitler faking it, I somewhat doubt greek of pulling that off.

Then comes scene where I am mixed. My gut smells something off, but his actions have been solid. It's tempting to just assume he is Hitler faking it and I'm seeing through it, but more likely he is just an eager towny which made a solid play it safe choice.

Then there's 3 playes in a mush. Which is problematic since if my other reads are right only 2 of them can be legit. These 3 are ZFR, dedo and RW.

Now, what really gets me at a logical level is that this puts kusu, cristi and blotunga in the scum bucket, and it just aligns too neatly with lurkiness. On one hand it can be that the seating order and a somewhat lucky rejection of president kusu screwed them and they're not motivated. But it's just too neat a package so I'm suspicious of that. But overall willing to ride it along until more evidence to the contrary.

So going back to ZFR, dedo and RW which happen to be the possible choices for president of the 4th government.

ZFR is a strong player, relatively inexperienced but strong. I can see him somewhat misreading the room when he voted no on himself as a LAMIST move and that backfiring. It would be the kind of difficult move I can see him trying, a sort of fake derp.
Overall I am not really sure he is scum here, as I can so easily put myself in his mindspace and see myself (and I knwo I'm town) making the same sort of mistakes and ending frustrated that I'm distrusted.
Ultimately my choice here ends up less being about ZFR and more because of the other two.

So dedo... he's my pick basically. I'll vote no to ZFR and vote Yes to dedo. Sure, I can see dedo pocketing me as fascist by pushing me when I was pushing others. I want to believe he did that from town place, but he is a real vet here, and I think he could pull that off as scum. I want to believe he did not manage to read me so well to know that was a way to engrace himself. I think I haven't played with dedo, so I don't really have an emotional read on him yet. And a small detail kind of pushes me to be a bit more confident on this, altjhough it's a pretty big rationalization - ZFR saying he'll vote yes to RW I see as a double bluff. He says he trusts RW in the hope that we distrusting him, will vote for RW his scum buddy instead of dedo the towny.

Finally RW. The problem with RW is that I can never read him well. I like his pushiness, although not when he is too abrasive (ironic as hell given how I push - but hej, being a hypocrite is what it is). All his nice friendly actions I know well enough can be an act. The well considered reads and thoughts, the helpful statistics. I've seen him do deep scum too often to give that any alignment credit. I don't think I am being unfair to him by trusting someone else more - it's more than as a null read I am fitting his alignment where it makes sense for the rest of the group as I see it now. And that can change as more actions come up.

So yeah... that's where I end up. I plan to vote No to ZFR presidency and Yes to dedo. Ofc dedo might choose some odd chancellor causing me to reconsider (scene is the logical pick for any of the 3 I think), and if it goes to RW as president I am quite undecided what to vote... but yeah...

I want to caveat that unlike the 100% honest approach to being town in resistance games I think bluffing, especially about the team formation votes can be very important to bait scum. Take that as you will.
So basically tbose who don't write walls of text are fascists? Nice logical deduction.

blotunga: So basically tbose who don't write walls of text are fascists? Nice logical deduction.
Yeah, that's what I said myself... not too proud of it but at 3-0 I'm ok to ride on it for the time being.

By the way. At this point in the game I think it would be great if we all tried to get our thoughts out there for the group. Things are bound to skew soon if nothing because of the card odds and fascists trying to pull hail-marys... let's have a good group discussion before the game state worsens and we are all tenser?

In particular there are 4 players I really would like to see readlists from:
RW, dedo, cristi and Lift.

I am even considering not voting until I get their thoughts, although that's the kind of manipulation of the rules that I am not too proud of pulling out...

And one final thought I had - although it also stinks of rationalization to justify where I am at right now - the one elephant in the room with RW is he has not been pushy scum hunting. Ofc considering how little one can really push on that's more a mouse than an elephant...
