As long as we're listing classic Amiga titles, what about Dungeon Master?

Dungeon Master
Dungeon Master: Chaos Strikes Back
Dungeon Master II: The Legend Of Skullkeep

Or Lemmings?

Lemmings (1991)
Oh No! More Lemmings (1991)
Lemmings 2: The Tribes (1993)
Christmas Lemmings '94 a.k.a. Holiday Lemmings (1994)
The Lemmings Chronicles a.k.a. All New World Of Lemmings (1994)

You might as well vote for the PC era Lemmings titles:

Lemmings 3D (1995)
3D Lemmings Winterland (1995)
The Adventures Of Lomax (1996)
Lemmings Paintball (1996)
Lemmings Revolution (2000)

tfishell, do you have any leads on the re-release chances of either franchise?

Siannah: I expect the game only in an .adf as a bonus and nothing more. Would welcome it if that isn't the case and a working emulator get's packed on it in a way as Dosbox works, but doubt it will happen.

Cinemaware has the rights to their games. Getting the rights on a currently free and working emulator should be possible. But the necessary Kickstart ROMs is a completely different beast.

Don't pitch your hopes too high guys.
Its already confirmed it's a single installer. And they have the rights lined up for the ROMs presumably through Amiga Forever who hold the rights.
If GOG is bringing Amiga games beyond Cinemaware's library, Flashback is a must. :D

For Lemmings, I assume the rights are still with Sony, so I created this thread - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SCE_Studio_Liverpool, http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-General/I-encourage-Sony-to-release-their-Psygnosis-Liverpool-PC/m-p/43237458/highlight/true#M781203 - but don't have much hope until GOG can strike a deal.

As for Dungeon Master games, some time ago I found some info I passed along to GOG. Understandably, I don't know what happened or is happening with that currently.

Wishbone: Well, shit. That sounds an awful lot like "We embedded it in our own emulator, so you won't get the disk image, and you won't be able to change any settings to your liking". Let's hope I'm wrong.
Always look at the bright side of life, huh ? :-D

C'mon, man...GOG is starting to sell PLAYABLE version of AMIGA games..Even if you will get your game as a embeded exe without ability to change any settings (and we don't know that for sure) - it is still GREAT NEWS.

I have said this sometime before, and it is still worth repeating...

You could add any Amiga version of the games supported by ScummVM, and it would work without any emulators or ROM dumps.

This option has been available for years, so why it hasn't been used, is a complete mystery. There could be some issues with publishing/distribution rights to Amiga versions, but I refuse to believe that it is impossible to get ANY games supported by ScummVM.

Well, no, you can't really conclude that. Just as they didn't start selling Apple II games just because the Apple II versions of the original Bard's Tale games were included as a playable extra with the new Bard's Tale game.

If the publisher handles the emulation side of things, GOG does not need licenses for the kickstart roms, they don't need to make emulation wrappers, they don't need to support extras. In short, if it is as I think, GOG does not need to do anything. Which probably means they won't do anything, which means that GOG selling Amiga games in general is still as far off as it ever was.

All this means is that (some of) the Cinemaware games will have playable Amiga versions as extras. Which is still great of course. Just not nearly as great as we had initially assumed.
I hope the new re-mastered version of Wings become available. I know it's going to be on Steam, let's hope it comes here as well.

I hope they somehow they include the CDTV version of Defender of the Crown, for it's time it was amazing 8).

Crosmando: I hope they use WinUAE with WHDLoad (http://whdload.de/).
So do I, frankly, Cloantos' software isn't what it used to be.

YEEEEEEEES!

Here's hoping for "Lords of the Rising Sun" and "S.D.I." since I never played those on the Amiga back in the day.

Also, have anyone played the Amiga version of "Sinbad and the throne of the falcon"? It looks really weird compared to the DOS and C64 versions...

And since I just mentioned the C64. How about getting "Project Firestart" in a nice package, Eh, GOG? ;-)

Truth to be told when we discussed before about Cinemaware games on gog I didn't have slimest hope for that. So - about (hopefully) 10 classics to come - some with Amiga playable version. Best news since Tommo released some Microprose'es oldies.

What the hell happened with Tommo anyways, there hasn't been a release from them in quite awhile?

Yes, I wonder that too. Tommo still owns dozen of unreleased classic sims ..Those would be instabuys for me.
